NEW IN Yardley Stayfast Foundation

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, hopefully your Friday is off to a great start.
I bought this foundation a while back and I have been meaning to use it but
I already have a lot of foundations open and this year I'm doing project pan so
I have to at least finish two bottles before opening this one.

The claim:
- For flawless matte finish
- No transfer
- Lightweight feel
- with vitamin e and amino acids to moisturise and hydrate.
- The foundation is water based

I like the claims and the shade range is not bad either, so
keep an eye out for an in-depth review on our YouTube page.

Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum Review

Soweto, South Africa
Good morning, serums are an essential part of a morning or evening routine because
of their higher concentration of product that they have, whether it being an
anti-aging or moisture adding it is the good stuff and you need it.

On todays post I will be doing a review of the
*Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum

The claim:
Effectively reduces dark spot and prevents their re-appearance,
with regular use. Renews skin’s look.
A dual-action serum with Thiamidol® and concentrated Hyaluronic Acid
for even and radiant skin

The product:
The serum comes in a slick transparent packaging th at gives an illusion
that the product can be seen from within.
The bottle carries two serums, Thiamidol proven to reduce dark marks, and
Concentrated Hyaluronic Acid one of skin’s most effective moisturising substances
helps skin to attract and retain moisture.

At first try the pump might not squirt out both products in one pump,
but you will need to give it a good shake then the product will
come out going forward.

The verdict:
Skincare for me is doing what is best for your skin, to prevent and reduce certain
problems that come with the everyday life whether that is fine lines,
dark marks and hyper-pigmentation
and consistency when using products is key to seeing results.
Also some products will work well for your skin and others will not and that is the catch.

The Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum is a great serum and a little does go along way,
I don't suffer from major hyper-pigmentaion just dark marks left by a pimple or three that and
a reduce in their appearance has been noted.
The serum is not on the major moisturising side but I suggest if you have dry skin like
me to go on and also use the Eucerin Day Cream SPF30 in this range.

Mommy Monday | To Potty Train! or Not To Potty Train?

Soweto, South Africa

Hey MOM, well in December when relatives were in town one of them asked how old
Asanda was and I told them 21 months and then they went on to ask,
and she is still not yet potty trained?!
Then they went on to mention to me that their kids were potty trained by 16 months
and blah blah blah blah blah blah
(that's all I heard after 16 months for real because I have decided to follow
the let my child tell me route)
and so far it is working for me.

I haven't began potty training her because she is only now grasping the
notion of mmmh I just pee'd let me tell Ma
or did a number 2 let me tell Ma, and I don't know what next week brings because
kids grow-up fast and different
and we as parents we should stop this thing of trying to one up another parent/child
because it does not get us anywhere.

Anyways hope you are having a great Monday and see you soon.

NEW IN | RIMMEL LASTING MATTE FOUNDATION

Soweto, South Africa
Happy Friday, I've been avoiding doing beauty posts for a while now
because well I haven't been feeling beautiful for a while now and you know (issues)
but the other day I went to Dischem Maponya Mall to just see whats new and happening
maybe it will get me in the mood to blog and create beauty content.

I found a NEW foundation from RIMMEL London and I won't tell you how long
it's been on the market but I haven't seen much activity on my social media
about it so I bought it.

The claim:

Long-lasting and lightweight, this ultra-comfortable powder finish formula
leaves the skin truly mattified, feeling soft and provides the perfect flawless base for you make-up.

Big claims RIMMEL, well I guess I will test that out as a first impression,
going LIVE
on the YouTube Channel soon.

NEW IN | AVON Maxima & Maxime Fragrances

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guyzies Avon has introduced a duo of luxury male and female fragrances
that are twin-branded Maxima & Maxime, they retail for R339 for a 100ml bottle.

The fragrance has notes like the immortelle flower, the flower of eternity
whose oil promises eternal youth and olibanum,
one of the very first ingredients of perfumery.
Well I know that I just watched Gladiator the other day and if Maximus smelt like
 this I would be happy.

AVON is adding the two fragrances to their luxury portfolio and I must say that
I'm not going to fight them with this one.

NEW IN | Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, like everyone else around on social media at
present is obsessed with skincare, well I caught the bug and
I'm experimenting and trying to get to know my skin more since
I'm in my 30's now.

Sleeping with make-up on and thinking that I will remain flawless and looking
glowing the following day is something I will let the teens and twenties girls do.
(p.s. please don't sleep with your make-up on it's not attractive and your pillows won't like that).

My skin is really dry and dry skin tends to be more prone to get fine lines quickly.
I love moisturizing my face and I would spend more money on
serums and moisturisers  than anything else.

I was de-cluttering my make-up stash the other week because
new year new me and I came across the Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream,
I was saving it for when my current moisturiser finishes and to tell you the truth,
I have been missing out.
This cream I have been using it for a week now and it is doing the things.

Here are some claims from the moisturiser:
medium-weight moisturizer to balance combination/dry skin.

For now, I like the packaging, and that the cream reminds me
of aqueous cream but for adults (",)
The cream is a bit on the pricey side but I tell you, it is really moisturising.
I will break it down for you in a months time, but I'm really impressed.

NEW IN | Epi-Max Ultra Oitment & Baby Bum Barrier Cream

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, I'm doing mini posts on NEW IN products this week.
Some products I have purchased others I received via PR and I'm just introducing them
to you so we can have them on trail together.

Epi-Max Ultra Ointment
Epi-Max says the following about their NEW ointment,
A therapeutic ointment for very dry, cracked skin.

I don't know if its just my baby or what?! but the baby creams are just leaving her skin feeling
soft yes but looking dry, so a little of this ointment does go a long away,
leaving her skin feeling and looking nourished.

Epi-Max  is a brand I continue to use time and time again,
and if you are looking for a barrier cream for your baby, I also suggest the
Epimax Baby Bum Barrier cream.

Hey guyzies, with Dry-uary behind us Back To The Bar by Bacardi
 came at the right time.
Here is what Bacardi is saying about the current
drink trends.

The days of the signature bar call are over as people today are
drinking across spirits categories and are eager to experiment with new flavors and trending serves. Who dothey go to navigate all the options? According to Nielsen CGA, 40% of revenue in bars is influenced bybartenders, which is why today, Bacardi employees across the globe head out of their offices to connect withthe people behind the bar for a first-hand look at
what’s driving cocktail choices.

Findings of the Bacardi 2020 Cocktail Insights Report are that:

 Mindful drinking goes mainstream, with 83% of bartenders citing
that low-alcohol drinks are hot and an increase of 42% in the online searches with the word mocktail; in 2019. (Technomic Behind the BarInsights, 2019 and Google Trends, 2019

 Natural products are in the spotlight with 31% of bartenders increasingly interested in local,
fresh ingredients. (GBAS5, 2019)

 The culinary cocktail trend borrows methods and techniques from the kitchen and champions fresh, seasonal, savory and herbal ingredients – 91% of bartenders
use vegetables in their cocktails, and 68%
of American Culinary Federation members rated culinary cocktail as a;
hot trend; last year. (Technomic Behind the Bar Insights, 2019)

 Dark rum is leading the premium game – 43% of bartenders
ranked it as the top spirit to premiumize.
(GBAS5, 2019)

 Sustainability is at the forefront of every consumers mind, and its reflected in the bar – 66% of
bartenders mention that sustainable drinks are hot right now.
(Technomic Behind the Bar Insights, 2019)

 Ready-To-Drink (RTD) cocktails are here to stay, reflecting the overarching demand
for consistent and convenient well-crafted cocktails beyond the bar –
there was a 26% increase of vodka soda and
flavored RTDs in North America last year.
(GBAS, 2019)

 38% of Americans prefer to make their cocktails at home, and the industry
has quickly adapted, offering consumers myriad ways to facilitate
at-home imbibing, from home cocktail kits to AI-
recommended recipes.

Review | NIVEA PEEL OFF URBAN SKIN DETOX MASK (MATTIFY)

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guyzies, welcome to the first review for 2020 on the blog.
The NIVEA Peel Off Urban Skin Detox Mask (Mattify) shuu such a long name,
but all the Urban Masks from NIVEA have long names so I'm not complaining.

Minute Masks
At home masks really took over from 2018 and they just get better and better,
whats even better is that they are now even more affordable and they actually work.

NIVEA PEEL OFF URBAN SKIN DETOX MASK
(Mattify Black Rice & Green Tea Extract)
Claim: Intensively cleanses and removes dirt from pores
       Reduces excess sebum and oil
       Leaves skin mattified and radiant

My Thoughts:
The NIVEA Peel Off Urban Skin Detox Mask is one product that hasn't been
over hyped and I don't know why because peeling masks are on trend and the most searched
word on the blog is peeling followed by peeling cleanser.
If you have breakouts or or skin is feeling oily this mask will help you with that
 just don't sleep on it.

February Goals

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guyzies, today is Monday (dahhh) however
I would like to dig light and share some of my goals this month.

- 1000 pageviews daily on the blog, currently the blog is averaging 600
and that is without any new content
(come on Zanele you can do it).

- 100 more subscribers on the YouTube Channel,
the channel is currently on 1013 subbies

- Post more frequently and by frequently
I mean there should be a blog post up daily.

- Be more present on social media by engaging more
 (but not annoyingly (",))

- Not let Eskom and their loadshedding business bother me because
somehow I'm unable to access my network/internet
around my area is in full effect.

Yeap that's it, these are my goals for February.
Hopefully you also have your goals on hand, and lets do this.

See you soon.

i'Shisanyama and Chakalaka with Simba in Soweto

Soweto, South Africa

As part of the nationwide campaign, “What’s your Mmmzansi Flavour”, Simba®
has launched two more locally inspired flavours: Chakalaka and Shisanyama.

The campaign saw Simba®, with Anele Mdoda, one of SA’s most loved radio personalities,
calling for people far and wide to share their own Mmmzansi flavour,
reflecting all that our nation loves to eat.
South Africans jumped at the opportunity,
suggesting a variety of delectable homegrown flavours in celebration of both Simba®
and our nation’s rich, local heritage.

The two new flavours, Chakalaka and Shisanyama,
follow hot on the heels of the recently launched Chilli Biltong flavour
and were chosen because they are what South Africans most love to eat.
The combinations of meat and spice repeatedly came up as favourites,
and the pairings were created using dishes that have been on local menus for generations.

“Chakalaka and Shisanyama are such iconic South African foods,
enjoyed by millions in their homes each day.
Our intention is to capture these classic favourites into a bag of Simba® chips and
take people on a locally inspired flavour journey,” says Agnes Kitololo, Marketing Director at PepsiCo.

So, go instore and grab your packet of Simba®’s new Mmmzansi flavoured Chakalaka and Shisanyama chips.

More information on Simba Mmmzansi Flavours you can follow this link.
