MAY WE TRIED

Soweto, South Africa

Let's Talk | Weigh In Wednesdays?

If you are an oldie then you will know that early last year I actually began I weight-loss journey
then I never followed through, then I got pregnant and I blew up.
So I have been playing around with this idea in my head again,
why don't I actually start this journey again.
I take you along the journey with me, we loss weight together while sharing our struggles, and successes. Because my YouTube channel needs something I'm thinking that maybe I take this to YouTube and actually share everything raw.
I will be sharing everything in greater details next week Wednesday, but I think if I actually publish this post then I will be more inclined into actually starting.

Wish me luck again and see you soon.

Review | Justine Oil Control Menthol Mud Mask

Today I share with you a mini review from the new *Justine Oil Control Menthol Mud Mask.

The Claim:
A creamy charcoal mud mask that will help to slough away dead skin cells, while removing sebum and soaking up excess oil. Formulated with menthol to leave
skin feeling invigotared, refreshed and soothed.

My Experience:
Well they don't lie about the charcoal part, but I was glad that it wasn't grainy. Alot of products that claim to have charcoal in them tend to be grainy.
I thought that I would be showered with a menthol smell also but that didn't happen. Only once I applied the mud mask in my face
I could feel the menthol, ooh boy I felt it good but it didn't sting.

The mask is meant to be left on for 15 to 20 minutes which I feel like is more than enough time for it to work.
Because of the menthol once washed your face will most definately feel invigorated, refreshed and soothed.

You will not like this mask if you don't like menthol.

My Veridict.
You will like the Justine Oil Control Menthol Mud Mask - R125 because it comes in a tube form, and we all know how messy masks can go.
If you like masks that actually go in and do the work, you will like this mask. If you have dry skin you will need to use a very moisturizing
serum after because this musk sucks up everything.

Mommy Monday | Bath Times A Problem Try This

Hey guys, hope all is well and okay, I know I have been kinda inconsistent posts wise
but I'm trying to catch-up as soon as possible.
Today on the blog we are reviewing the Epimax Baby & Junior Cream and Bathe Oil.

Till the day I actually went baby shopping I never heard/seen of this brand before,
and maybe because I used to go to Dischem and actually pretend that
the baby section does not exist and skip it all together.

Babies are so delicate and sensitive to almost everything and one thing that was really
frightening for me was bath time,
how the heck was I going to do it, because babies react differently to water and I just didn't want mine to be the crying one.

So while doing some research on YouTube one video actually recommend bathe oils,
to moisturize baby first then bathe the baby. I haven't looked back since.

Pre-baby I went to Dischem and came across Epimax they were running a promotion and I was like let me try this, I'm glad I did.
I know that the instructions actually say, you should drop a few droplets in the water then bathe baby.
I actually find it better when I massage the baby with the oil then bathe, as they have been introduced to something before being plunged in water. Hope this makes sense.
However if you wish to follow this trick be extra careful as the baby will be extra slippery
so please be careful.

I have no complains with the cream also, it keeps baby moisturized
and it is fragrance free which I like.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.
I didn't want to make it an in depth review like the normal review posts,
just wanted for us to have a chat.

See you soon.

MY WEEK IN QUOTES

Hope you well, this week has gone by soo fast.
I love sharing quotes, because they just give that aahaa moment every now and then.

Other than sharing the obvious weekend reading, I thought that
I should share the quotes in a picture format, since my Instagram is filled with them,
I'm also thinking of making them a weekly feature, but time will tell.

Hope your Sunday goes well and will see you
on Twitter because you know it goes down on  Sundays.

See you soon

MY WEEK THROUGH INSTAGRAM

Soweto, South Africa
Zanele Mondi - Instagram
Hey guys this is such a throwback post, it reminds of back when I first began blogging
these were the type of posts I used to gravitate towards.
I'm not sure of the quotes system but it seems to be cleaning up
my Instagram quite a bit which I love because things were starting to look weird.
I think I will leave it up till month-end May you know for the aesthetics and will see
how it goes, I know I know this has been done before but it hasn't been done on my page like this before. I really do enjoy seeing my Instagram like this, as it seems like I have it all figured out.
I have also downloaded a few editing apps which I will be making use of which will also
help my Instagram game (I can only hope). If you are on Instagram what kind of editing
apps do you have and what draws you to an Instagram account.
See you soon.

Mommy Monday | Feeling Guilty

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope all is well and okay I really do apologies for not announcing my absences it is just that I feel extremely guilty at time for taking time off from my baby even if it's just for
 blogging or even watching TV.
It's a good thing I still have a month at home before I set sail back to work again because I really don't feel like returning. I know I have a ton of responsibilities however I just don't feel like detaching, I'm not ready to spend 10 hours away from my baby (our baby) even 2 hours when
I have errands at times seems to be a long time.

I also want to try a different blogging schedule cause it seems like I can't commit to anything lately, but that is also in considerations.

I'm just feeling really guilty.

Am I the only one, please help me.

Hey guys, this was supposed to be actually Aprils Favorite products however, month-end came and went without sharing the post so
I thought that I will make this my current favorite products post, hope you like it.

Pure Royal Repair 'n Grow Hair and Scalp Treatment 200ml - R 59.99
This product is everything, it is moisturizing and gets easily absorbed by the hair.
It is thick yet watery enough, I hope I make sense here.
If you are on the market for a good moisturizer for your natural hair,
I recommend this.

Pond's Flawless Radiance BB Cream Chocolate 25ml - R 95.99

skin and your foundation is always cakey, this will make sure that you foundation blends well,
guys don't sleep on this BB Cream.

LA Girl HD Pro Coverage Long Wear Foundation Warm Caramel - R175.00
When I bought this foundation I absolutely hated it, it moved around and did not sit in one place.
I wore it to an interview onceand after the interview I looked in the mirror
and the foundation moved especially the mouth area.
Because I believe in second chances I bought the LA Girl Pro.prep primer
and it actually saved the foundation.
I like the foundation, cause it is full coverage affordable and I'm two pumps I'm ha

REVIEW | 3 PRODUCTS I'M LOVING FROM DOVE

Soweto, South Africa
DOVE DERMA SPA BODY ROLL ON SERUM 100ML UPLIFTED - R129
DOVE DERMA SPA BODY CREAM 300ML CASHMERE COMFORT - R129
DOVE DERMA SPA BODY OIL GOODNESS 150ML - R129
Hey guys, I really thought that this post will be long, however I will let the pictures speak for themselves. In the past year Dove has up'd its game when it comes to
luxury skincare and I must say I'm sold and these 3 items
I continue to replenish and let me tell you why.

The Dove DermaSpa with the massaging roll-on, I will say that it was my first time ever seeing a moisturiser with a roll-on applicator. And this one does not disappoint it is for those days when you feel like staying at home and having me time.
The scent is a bit overpowering and I will say use it once or twice a week,
and for everyday use you will love the,

Dove DermaSpa Cashmere comfort, when I say luxury in a small package I'm referring to this baby. It smells great and reminds of the best perfume shops in Sandton City,
I just don't know why. I use this daily cause it just smells great, moisturises and does not feel sticky and tacky which I absolutely love, and for those
days when you feel like adding that extra glow to your moisturising process, I recommend the

Dove DermaSpa Goodness Silky Body oil, seems like everyone is coming up with body oils these days this one you will love it because it does not transfer,
yeap I said it once dry the oil will not transfer on your clothes unlike most body oils out there.

Overall I'm happy with these 3 products and have noticed that Dove have extended their DermaSpa range recently which looks good if I may add
and most def will be purchasing those also.

Hope you enjoyed my post.

See you soon.

MINI REVIEWS | CURRENT EMPTIES 2018

Gosh guys, I have been working on getting an empties post up for a while now.
I just thought that I should share my mini thoughts on each empty....and will I re-purchase/ replenish them again, well I don't know!!!.
Please keep on reading.

FACE CARE
Garnier Micellar Water: At first I used to brag about this product as it is made for people with dry skin like mine and now I'm on the fence lol, here is why when I first used it I was happy with the oil and all blah blah blah blah and now the oil
turns out to be my worst enemy this just dries up my skin and and when left long enough to dry before I moisturize then it becomes ashy....
You most def need to immediately continue your skincare routine after using this.

Beaucience Cleansing Gel: This product is most def getting a repurchase I use the whole bottle because the cleanser never irritated my eyes, (I have the most sensitive eyes in the world). Love the pump, the bottle and everything. If you want a detailed review
please do say, I will do this one.

Clere Radiance Oil Control: I have other great cleansers that work great, I will give
this one a pass on my next shopping run.

African Extract 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub & Mask: This product got me into masks, I like that you can use it as a scrub, wash and mask and it smells great (for me)
affordable and the tube carries alot of product.

African Extract Toner: This toner I was soo terrified that it will burn my face (my first toner experience killed other toners for me) however I was happy cause that didn't happen.
I like this toner because it didn't burn my face LOL, and it affordable it is one of the best toners on the drugstore, (would I replenish I would say yes cause it is also affordable and works).
BODY CARE
Savlon: I'm not really a fan of Antiseptics they just have their own distinctive smell that is just so over powering however they remind me of my mom and she used to swear by
them. When I gave birth apparently you need to use it, I don't know why (need to Google and do some research), will I repurchase (I have already),
they just have that throw back smell that I can't let go off as yet. .

Avroy Shlain Roll-on: Please don't buy this product, it is just full of alcohol and it will burn your under arms. However their Coppellia Intense Parfum that you can buy.

Justine Tabesheer Bloom: Rather buy this one, cause it smells great and won't burn you in the process.

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray: If you are pregnant do yourself a favor and get this spray and thank me later, if you are always tired to moisturize get this spray,
if you just want to moisturize in 1/2 the time get this spray.
HAIR CARE
BLM Natural Curl Wake-Up Hydrate: When I bought this one I was like NO it won't work and it also most def did prove me wrong, my natural hair was always soft and hydrated,
buy this when you have braids and you are looking to add moisture and volume to your hair.

Pure Royal Hair Mayonnaise: Guys let us be honest natural hair is more taxing than relaxed hair and I say this cause finally we are happy that our hair is not falling off in numbers and we are taking good care of it that we buy so many products to make sure our hair is well kept and I would say you need to use this product maximum 3 times ,
EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
NIVEA Hand Cream: I love a good hand cream and this NIVEA hand cream is a good one. The fragrance in it is not over powering and it
is compact meaning you can carry it around everywhere.

AfricanExtract Spot Treatment: This one I would give it a miss, it does not work as fast as I want my spot treatment to work. A good spot treatment for me works over night and by over night I mean in 6 hours the sign of a new pimple needs to have
gotten down dramatically and this product didn't do that for me.
MAKE-UP
Rimmel Lasting Finish: This foundation is the best affordable foundation on the market, yeap I said it. It is thick, full coverage , affordable I can go on and on about the foundation however I have a dedicated post about it coming soon on the blog (stay tuned).

LA Girl PRO setting spray: Your make-up stays in place the whole day and gets rid of the cakeyness plus it's affordable, so please do get it.

Essence fixing spray: Also does what it claims, and keeps your make-up in place plus it's affordable, so get it.

That's it for my current empties, hope you enjoyed my post.

Which empties have you tried before and did you like them, would like to know?

Have an awesome day.

See you soon

xx
