A PRIVATE EMPIRE SCREENING WITH FOX

Parkhurst, Randburg, 2193, South Africa

Hey guyzies, hopefully everything is well and okay.
I can't believe that Empire on Fox is on its last season wow.

Seems like it was just yesterday when I upgraded my package on DSTV from
compact to extra (now called compact plus hey now that Lifetime, CI and I think history are now
going to be axed by DSTV which channels are we going to get on extra?
DSTV better open premium channels for
us in December while they sort out this debacle).

Anyways back to Empire.
The private screening was held at Egrek Cinema in Parkhurst and
I must say being on that side of town was great because these days, I find myself
being at home more than I would like to.

The first episode of the last season was on another level, it gave me
How To Get Away With Murder vibes, as
there was the murder which might be the last scene and then it went forward.

Can't wait to see how Lee Daniels concludes this wonderful series.

See you soon.

SOWETO KOTA FESTIVAL 2019

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guy welcome back to the blog.
Yesterday I attended the Soweto Annual Kota Festival which was held at the
Elkah Cricket Field in Rockville.
The cricket field is a couple of streets away from where i reside,
so I took my nephews there.
On arrival we bought our tickets and went on to the field, this is a first local festival I
have attended in a while and I must say I was happy from the get go.

They had a variety of different kotaz(not sure what the plural for Kota is) and drinks.
They also had different stands for people promoting their business's
(I know that that there is a word about this).
The field had a nice flow I was really impressed, and also there was a lot of
 parking space and security.

If I had to add a few things it would be a much bigger eating area
as the field allowed and the kids area could be much nice because it looked like an after thought.

Overall it was a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon and will most definitely be
going there next year.

Have a great day.

See you soon.

This Week | South Africa In Tears

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope you are safe.

The following things shook the headlines this week:

Xenophobic Violence

Murder of UCT student

Kidnapping of child in Vanderbijl

Murder of 4 children in KwaZulu-Natal

I also think other crimes occurred but these made the headlines
The blog often shares the beauty of life and try to look life in
a more positive aspect but I cannot help
but not share these sad times because they left a majority
of South Africans in shock and still are.

Social media this week more than ever was in a frenzy,
from stories of looting on select shops including those
of foreign nationals, woman sharing their stories of sexual assault and other
horrible tragedies that I cannot even begin to type out.
When will enough be enough, I hope the voices on the street and
social have been heard and the government is finally going to
act on the people's suggestions.

South Africa needs healing and a major intervention,
times of change are ahead and hopefully for the better.

Till wee meet again.
