New In | Justine A-Firm & Balance

This is my first official review for Justine on the blog,
welcome Justine (I use their tissue oil all the time I don't know why I haven't reviewed it yet).

Avon/Justine sent me tons of products so I will be posting a lot about
them over the next few weeks. On Tuesday I did the Avon Glow | Bronzing Pearls post and I'm sharing with you skincare products from Justine that I'm currently testig out.

When I test out skincare products I love testing the whole range maybe it's
just me or something but I believe that dermatologist don't spend hours
developing a range and the be like hey this Moisturizer will work well
with that brands Serum and that other brands Face Wash, correct me if I'm wrong here.

Justine recently launched their A-Firm Anti-aging Cleanser and Toning Gel which I'm
currently testing out. I have dry skin and without giving too much information
away (on the products) I can say that it is dry skin friendly. Also new to Justine is their
Balancing Spray Toner, which works well with my Balancing Day Cream and Night Cream which I have been using for a while.

This post was sorely to share skincare products that are new and I'm testing out, a full blogpost and
in-depth review will be coming soon.

Will they be me #RideorDieSA skincare products, only time will tell.

Review | Ponds Age Miracle BB Cream

Ponds Age Miracle BB - R189 /// SHOP : HERE
I have been testing out the *Ponds Age Miracle BB cream for a while now
and I just thought that it is time for me to review it.

Here is what Ponds claims about the product.
Instant natural coverage,
Non-pore clogging,
Light, non-oily texture,
Reduces dark marks,
Evens skin tone,
Protects from UVA and UVB rays (SPF30++).

The Ponds BB cream comes in two types now, the Flaws Radiance (pink) and the Age Miracle (red).
When I shop I tend to go for more anti-aging products these days
(*one can never start too early with fighting aging LOL*).
The BB cream comes in two shades only beige (fair to medium skin tones) and chocolate (medium deep to dark tones). The shade is not much of an issue as it oxidizes on the skin, it might look dark now on my finger but some how once applied it actually blends well on my face (post on how it looks like on my face coming soon).

The BB has SPF30 which is great for me, cause I tend to go for skincare products with a lot of SPF.
When I do apply the BB Cream though I do color correct before (under eyes and chin area as they are darker) so that the product can work to it's max. It is really light on the skin and it applies really well. I just think that BB creams are more focused on skincare and not coverage however this BB Cream is actually great on both areas.

Overall I'm impressed I actually do recommend this one for this Spring/Summer and all year round.

Let's Glow | Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls

Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls /// R160.00 ///  SHOP HERE /// Avon.co.za
Sorry for the late upload today, I'm still sick and I needed to go get checked up today.

Anyone who says that they have never seen the Avon Bronzing Pearls before are just lying!!!
Anywho before I go on a rent lets break this down, what is brozing? who gets to bronze and why?

Bronzers usually come in two forms liquid and powder.
Liquid Bronzers usually work well for dry/combination skins, while Powders work well for oily/normal skins.

Bronzing to me is adding that extra finishing touch to your daily make-up routine without having to be heavily highlighted. It is also important for one to choose the correct shade for their skin tone, one or two shades darker is what I would suggest.

The *Avon Glow Bronzing pearls are a perfect way for one to add the warmness that finishing powders usually leave behind. I really can't flaw this bronzing powder hey as it has a good enough supply of shimmers and has great staying power.
I usually apply my bronzing powder in areas where I have contoured (a bit on the cheek, temples and neck area) using either a kabuki or a bronzer brush.

Overall I'm impressed!!!

Manicure Monday | Wild Weekend Update

My Friday began on a bad note as I was booked off sick by the doctor and it was one of those weekends were I had everything planned from doing my hair to
actually start filming for YouTube, but I was so sick and under heavy medication that
I found myself sleeping on the couch and watching TV.

I guess this post will be madly about what I watched on TV this weekend *sorry*.
Forever Young was on repeat the whole weekend from Season 1 up until Season 3, I must say that my boyfriend was happy because he has mad love for those three guys. The only critisism I have for that show is just before the break
they would play a snippied of whats coming after the break and after the break they would play exactly what the snipped showed *that irritated me*, als
they would show snippets of whats coming after the break while it's on upcoming shows * like really* I don't know who thought that idea was great???
I love that show, it is motivational, energetic and just full of life I can't wait for season four.

I got to catch up on some movies both National Treasures, SALT (wuuuuu Angelina Jolie enough said) LOL, CHEF and some local movieS on channel 161 but I forgot the names.

MasterChef The Professionals will always be my favorite, they are currently on group stages and the competition is still on. I only got to watch one episode of Isibaya I think the Monday episode, and I'm just irritated by it but will keep on watching for now.

Free TV catchup, Scandal oh my goodness Dintle is just full of drama isn't she, can't wait to see how that story unfolds,
Skeem Sam was also on another level. Generations who is that mad to poison their mother mara aih.

Reality wise I haven't yet watched Rob & China am I missing something, The show that I'm really into  is WAGS gosh I love it.

Overall I had a great week at home, I just hate that I didn't film anything yet again.

Have a great week.

New In | Eyeshadow // Smokey Neutral Nude

To keep the momentum going from yesterday's post NEW IN | YARDLEY // ESSENCE // AVON
I decided that I should share these great swatches from eyeshadows that I recently bought.
These eyeshadows cost less than R100 bucks, which brings me to my next statement
and the reason why I actually began beauty blogging. One does not need to buy expensive products
to help them look good,(*anyways who said expensive is best*),
before I go on a mumble let me stop myself.

This post really is to just share the swatches as I'm still testing the eyeshadows, and I can't wait to share with you on what they actually look like,
but so far I'm loving them.

New In | Yardley // Essence // Avon

Yardley /// Absolute Translucent Loose Powder /// R149.99
Essence /// Stay All Day Foundation /// R89.00
Avon ///  Prime & Set Spray /// R149.00
I tend to buy alot of product and forget to take pictures of them while they are still new.
So I thought that I should snap the above three newbies before trying them on.

The story with the Yardley Absolute Translucent Powder is so long but to sum it up, here it goes I actually saw it for the first time on GentleOrchid's Instagram sometime around March-April 2016, and I had to have it but when I went to my local mall (local being Jabulani and Maponya Mall) they didn't carry the product, they only had the normal Yardley loose powders.
So months went by and one great review after the next see reviews here (Bylungi Blog and MelaninMagic Blog) I still couldn't get it because ooh well Edgar's system was offline or the month end lines at Clicks would just be long till I actually ordered it online.
I really don't believe it took me months to get this product.

The Essence Stay All Day foundation and the Avon Prime and Set Sprays were also a struggle for me to get, first because the shade Caramel on the All Day foundation is hard to get and secondly the Prime and Set Sprays on the Avon brochures were never on sale and by the time that they were actually on sale the Avon lady has relocated.
Gosh the struggle is real.

I can't wait to start testing out these great products and share their reviews.

A Big Thank You To African Extracts

As a blogger I have been fortunate to work on some awesome projects and when I had an opportunity to enter the African Extracts Purify Our World competition I was even more excited because not only was the winner going to get a year's supply of African Extracts Purifying Range but they get to go home with  R10 000 for a charity of their choice.

The charity of my choice Thembelani Enkosini is so close to my heart because not only is it a couple of blocks away from where I stay but the work that they do is phenomenal.

The charity works mostly as an after school programme for primary school kids, other than them going home to an empty house (because most parents are still at work from 1pm till 6pm), the kids get to interact with their peers, do some homework, have an afternoon light meal and then play.

Every now and then then the kids get to be treated with fun and games by going to the local zoo's and exploring Gauteng and hopefully the rest of Africa soon.

Thank you at African Extracts.

Manicure Monday | New Avon BB 7 In 1 Nail Colour

Weekends are a time for me to catch up on what's happening on TV and this weekend was no different. On Friday  I watched 2 movies The 100ft Journey and SALT ( for the 100th time), Saturday morning I was surprised to see season 1 of The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills on E! which I watched, but my all time favourite would have to be Masterchef The Professionals on BBC damn I love that show. Sunday watched The Queen, Isibaya and Idols, the only thing I regret not watching was Rob & China but I know E! will have me good with re-runs. How was your week what did you get up to?

Today's Manicure Monday feature  is the *Avon's BB 7 In 1 Nail Colour, mmh 7 in 1 they say.
1. Reduces the appearance of nail ridges.
2. Creates a  smooth surface
3. Gives natural nails with ridges a smooth, even base.
4. Contains UV filter to prevent discolouration and yellowing.
5. Covers nail imperfections
6. Built-in primer.
7. Creamy flawless colour.

The nail polish comes in 4 shades so far retails at R99.90 . The shade that I have on at present is Lilac Love which is so far my favourite ❤❤❤.
Tell me if you have tried a BB Nail Colour before and how did it go.

Tag | Would You Rather???

This week I got to work with Melanie Snook from the Blog, Melanie Snook
She invited me on her #testblocks where we got to do a full week of reviewing products on Instagram, check posts HERE Zanele Mondi - Instagram
I would like to thank Mel, for the invite I really do appreciate it.

To end the week off we thought that we should do a fun light post and what better way than a tag.

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

Nice hair and no make up, I'm like that Monday to Friday at the office anyways.

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

Eyelashes that's not a biggie since I don't have them naturally anyways.

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Clicks for the rest of your life?

Clicks abviously because they carry more options for me.

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

I saw my Mom rock an 80's perm for years so I would most definely choose that.

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

Over done blush anyday of the week.

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

I own MC Hammer pants so I would wear them anytime.

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

Don't tan, but if I did I wouldn't mind the lines.

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

Bad hair colour, its fixable ....right?

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

Honestly YouTube, the time and data I waste there ridiculous.

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

 Mascara!

The R19 Nail polish

Hello everybody, just thought that I should start the week with a manicure/nailpolish
post as I haven't done one in a while.
On Saturday I went out with my nephew (Andile) shopping, nchaaa he is such
a sweetheart. We began shopping at our local mall Jabulani which was filled with alot of people, since it was month end (who can blame them).

I bought a work phone at PEP then we went to Edgars where I was about to purchase
the Yardley translucent powder (heard great things about it) and some Yardley Nailpolishes but their system was "offline" AS USUAL and that que was just crazy.

So we went to Foschini and we found their systems working so I browsed around, and
I came across *The R19 Nailpolishes* and I couldn't say no to them  so I picked them up plus a other items, but the nailpolishes (were a great find).

Today, I thought that I should share with you, how the
nail polishes look like, very pretty if  I do say so myself.

Enough with my yippie yepping.

Have a great #ManicureMonday
