MOMMY MONDAY | BEAUCIENCE BABY REVIEW

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys I wanted to do an "APRIL IN REVIEW" post however I have a lot of things that I wanted to catch-up on and I'm like that will wait however I'm really glad that the post frequency is picking up again, when we compare that to what I was posting back in Jan and Feb.

This week will be filled with a lot of reviews and without wasting any
of your time let's jump straight into one.

Beaucience is not a new brand to me I have been using their cleansing facewash for a while,
but they are new on the blog (will review the cleanser this week aswell)
and I thought that I should do a post sharing with
you some of the products I have been using on baby Asanda from Beaucience Baby
The Claim:
I took the following extract from their website as it explains the brand best:
Beaucience (pronounced “bo-si-ance”) is a proudly South African, Professional Skin Care Brand
specifically focusing on using natural formulations and organic ingredients where possible.
With the combination of the unique peptide ingredients Proteasyl PW,
derived from the pea plant and essential oils – the result is a kind, yet direct approach
to ageing for men and women.

The product:
I received the Beaucience Baby Head to Toe Wash 220ml retail R62.99 and Barrier Cream R64.99,
the Head to Toe Wash claims to be high moisture, non irritancy and tearless formula conditions
skin and hair. Gently cleansing hair and body without removing natural moisture from skin giving
baby's skin the best possible loving care. The Barrier cream claims the following "specifically
formulated to help protect baby's diaper area against irritation and to soothe baby's tender skin.
Includes zinc oxide to help prevent chafing and enhance the natural healing process."
My Experience:
Since having a baby I have been more skeptical of the products that I use because babies have
really sensetive skin and are just generally sensetive to alot of things, sound, smell and all.
When I got Beaucience Baby products I was really intrigued cause the barrier cream contained
no over powering smell and I was happy with that cause alot of barrier creams tend to have that over-powering fragrance smell which can get to me some time.
The barrier cream contains marula oil and chamomil.

On Use the barrier cream applies thick and white, a little most def goes a longway and you can get
a whole months worth of application and with the price I'm happy.
The downside with using fragrance free
comes when the baby does number 2 and you wish to cover that smell, lol which will make the product great for babies between 0-6 months because they haven't been introduced to solids yet.

The Head to Toe Wash also has that gentle chamomile smell which I'm happy with. On use
I just pour it in the babies bath and use it that way. Because I use oils to bathe the baby I also thought that the wash wouldn't work however it does and here also a little goes a long way.
A little squirt (depending on the size of the bath ((I use the standard baby bath)) will do just fine because thew ash has a thick consistency.

My Verdict:
Overall I'm pretty happy with how the products performed and also happy with the price.
If you are on the market for super affordable natural products for your baby, these ones are for you.

If you would like for me to review more baby stuff here on the blog please do say, cause this
is a new feature that I would like to make more regular.

If you made it this far, you are Awesome.

Sunday Updates!!!

Soweto, South Africa
Afternoon guys, hope your Sunday is going as best as it can.
I know last week I promised that I will be blogging but I just didn't feel like sharing blogposts cause
you need to share them on social media aswell and I didn't feel like saying "hey new post out, while
I busy moaning my Grandma".

New week, new life hahaha I wish it was that easy.

This week I'm going to attempt YouTubing cause I'm +/-11 subbies away to reaching the 300 mark.
I really wanna focus on YouTubing this year, cause firstly I enjoy it and
secondly editing for me is not that hard,
plus I got a new laptop which will make this way better and faster for me, (the old one couldn't save stuff, had no battery life and had a fan problem if you are wondering).

My family and I are okay, just gearing up for Sunday Night TV.

Have a great day further.

See you soon.

LIFE UPDATE | AN ANGEL I NOW KNOW BY NAME

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys hope your Sunday is going as best as it can. Sunday posts here on the blog are now fast becoming a place for me to share with you current affairs (i.e. things happening on tv, my life and other rambles that might affect the blog this coming week).

This week is no different, my grandmother passed away this week (aaah I’m emotional now) and we are busy preparing for her funeral. A lot of things have been prepared and all is going well no stress. Unlike the stress I felt when my sisters and I had to prepare for our Mom’s funeral a lot of lessons were learnt from there (and if you would like for me to share with you a list of things you need to prepare for a funeral please tell because I would like to help someone else).

I have scheduled posts for this coming week as things will be hectic on the home front.
Our Grandmother will be laid to rest on Saturday 28th April at Avalon Cemetery.
Grandma was all for celebrating life so I don’t want to make this post sad so I share with you quotes cause to be honest your Grandma is your true protector (why do I say this? Because Grandma is at home taking care of you while Mom goes to work).

“But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face.
Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking.
But behind all your stories
is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.”
Mitch Albom, For One More Day

My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute my success in life
to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her.”
George Washington

“My mom smiled at me. Her smile kind of hugged me.”
R.J. Palacio, Wonder

“I don't know what it is about food your mother makes for you, especially when it's something that anyone
can make - pancakes, meat loaf, tuna salad - but it carries a certain taste of memory.”
Mitch Albom

“You are evidence of your mother's strength, especially if you are a rebellious knucklehead and regardless
she has always maintained her sanity.”
Criss Jami, Killosophy

Weekend Reading

Soweto, South Africa
“There is nothing in this life that can destroy you but yourself. Bad things happen to everyone, but when they do, you can't just fall apart and die. You have to fight back. If you don't, you're the one who loses in the end. But if you do keep going and fight back, you win.”

NEW IN BRAMLEY EVEN TONE | MOST AFFORDABLE SKINCARE PRODUCTS?!

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys hope all is well and okay today I have a good one for you.
If you know me then you will know that I’m always on a look out for affordable products and these products I’m hoping they don’t disappoint.
Sticking to the NEW IN theme I’m still going to share *BRAMLEY Even Tone claims and if you like those then we can hopefully try everything together at once as they are also on trial.

STEP 1 (Cleansing) – BRAMLEY EVEN TONE FACIAL SOAP BAR – R11.99
I have never used a purple soap on my face before this will be interesting (maybe I should really do a first impressions on these for real, be on the lookout hopefully next week).
THE CLAIM:
“Bramley Even Tone Facial soap bar is mild and gentle. The soft, milky lather and rich moisture gently cleanses the skin. Use the soap for Reduced Oiliness; An instant matte look, To open up clogged pores, Protection against harmful germs”.
STEP 2 (Toning) – BRAMLEY EVEN TONE FACE CARE LOTION – R16.99
Face care lotion is another name for a Toner, the bottle looks fancier than most toning bottles out here I’m impressed and the toner does contain alcohol, as the first ingredient is Ethanol, because I’m gonna do a first impression I wonder how will it feel on my face it has been a while since I’ve used an alcohol based toner.
THE CLAIM:
“This lotion helps to remove oil build-up and impurities that lead to problem skin”.

STEP 3 (Moisturising) – BRAMLEY EVEN TONE VANISHING CREAM – R19.99
I’m really not a fan of vanishing creams as they are really drying to my face (I have normal to dry skin), and I just skip them and go for a more moisturising lotion.
THE CLAIM:
“Promotes an even skin tone; controls excessive oiliness; Instant matte look; Vitamins C, E, A & B5, contains ceramides.

I’m happy with the price, will I be happy with the products only time will tell and make sure your are subscribed to my YouTube Channel.

See you soon!!!

P.S. Just thought you you should know, Bramley products are not tested on animals.

***GIVEAWAY CLOSED***& REVIEW | VASELINE ALOE SOOTHE

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guys, hope your well and okay.
Hope you saw my post last week (First Impression & Giveaway | Vaseline What Is The Sound Of Moisture?) then you will know that I have a giveaway running,
please don’t forget to leave your comment here or on the YouTube post of me sharing the first impression of how the Vaseline Aloe Soothe works.
Today’s post is just a mini review of the product and I’m sure you have seen
the ads on TV aswell so I won’t take up much of your time.
P.S. Giveaway details linked below.
THE CLAIM
“Now we have micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly in our Aloe Soothe lotion which absorbs deeply into your skin and moisturises to restore it from within. (Aloe Soothe – Moisturises to restore dry skin – Calms and soothes dry skin – Absorbs fast for a non-greasy feel).”

MY THOUGHTS & VERDICT
First thing I noticed is that the packaging looks a bit different, the Vaseline sign is more prominent than before I did notice this on my first impression video also.
If you have been using Vaseline Pure Jelly but hate that extra shininess that it gives
but can’t use any other thing because only the Vaseline will keep your body moisturised throughout the day, then you will love the Vaseline Aloe Soothe range as it infused with the pure jelly.
Overall I can’t be mad at Vaseline for creating a range with Aloe (cause we all know what the benefits aloe are) and a lotion with PJ(Vaseline Pure Jelly).

GIVEAWAY DETAILS:

NEW IN | FINO SOOTHE WOMAN & MAN

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope all is well and okay, for the next three days I’m like let me post about NEW IN items that I recently got through PR because I will be trying them soon and I would like to take pics of them while they are still you know in there great condition, so that we can always have a point of reference and we get to try all the products together.
Today we are getting to know the *FINO SMOOTH products, the first product that I know from them is their After Waxing and Shaving Balm/Moisturiser, when you are pregnant and need to go to the Gynae a lot you will need a product like this cause there is a lot of shaving and waxing that happen during that period, your skin will need to be protected.
Let me do a quick review on the after shaving/waxing balm because I have used it,

THE CLAIM:
FINO SOOTHE claims “is a synergistic blend of natural VITAMIN A and FRUIT ENZYMES. It is quickly absorbed, leaving no greasy residue, and does not stain clothing.
Suitable (for use after all types of hair removal).

MY EXPERIENCE & VERDICT
The product comes in a tube pack, I’m sure you can see from the pics dah?! On my first application I squirted and a whole huge quantity on my hand, and made it hard for it to emulsify on my skin, so I learned earlier on that a little/pea sized squirt goes a long way.  There is a scent to the product and does tingle a bit on first application after that it was fine, even though the product does not contain any alcohol.

Today however we are sharing the FINO SOOTHE MAN, which is currently being tested by my nephew Lonwabo he is surely coming through these days, I love it.

FINO SOOTHE claims to be a unique soothing balm after shaving or waxing. Helps combat ingrown hair and minimise razor bump and burn. Suitable for all skin types. Calms and moisturises tender skin. Assists in relief of dry itchy skin and other post hair removal irritations. Can be used on sensitive skin.

The ingedianets look quite similar to the FINO SOOTHE Women so it will be interesting to find out how it works on my nephews skin.

First Impression & ***Giveaway Closed*** | Vaseline What Is The Sound Of Moisture?

Hey guys, hope all is well and okay today I have a different one for you.
I'm sharing my first impressions on a PR package I recently received from Vaseline,
it contained an experiment of some sort so I was like let me try it out.

I also did a YouTube post on the blog sharing the very experiment it will be linked below
(spoiler: the results mind blowing I tell you)

EXPERIMENT
We are trying to find out what is the sound of moisture?
Using Vaseline Aloe Soothe vs a leading competitor brand.

The supplies given on the PR package:
- Syringe (wish they were two, for each product but it didn't matter)
- 2 Tracing Papers
- Vaseline Aloe Sooth Lotion
- Leading Competitor Sample

Optional:
- A Hair Dryer (just to speed up the drying process)

The experiment was pretty simple and let us see what happened:
Took out the pre-cut pieces of paper.
Scunched up both pieces of paper
Opened up and flattened pieces of paper

The paper on the left had the competitors sample
The one on the right had Vaseline
Used the syringe to pick up 3ml each per sample
Rubbed all the moisturizers on each paper
Used the hair dyer to dry up the papers quickly 30secs each.

THE RESULTS:
Competitor one showed all the results of being moist however when the paper was scrunched the NOISE was just as load as when I began the experiment.

Vaseline paper although it had a sound it was more SUBTLE and even the paper was SOFTER.
I can go on to say the softness of the paper proves that the
Vaseline was actually absorbed by the paper.

If this was a chemistry test I would get 100%, don't believe my results.
Let me send you the Vaseline Aloe Soothe Pack so you can test that yourself
(see giveaway requirements below)

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, hope all is well and okay.
Today's post will be quicker than an Instastory - FOLLOW ME

My hair did not shed too much however I noticed that it is on the drier side of things lately.
I will be keeping it moisturized and all but I just hope I don't lose too much hair guys, I'm really not in the mood of starting over my natural hair journey.
I'm using soo many products to retain moisture it's crazy.

Do you have any tips to stop postpartum shedding?

I will keep you guys posted, wish me luck cause I need it.

FOTD | VERY DARK LIPS

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys April wow, we made it all I will say is, a new month always gives us an opportunity to achieve goals we failed to meet during the previous month.

The make-up used is similar to the (VERY LIPS POST - HERE) the only thing that changed is the the lipstick that I'm wearing from Essence shade (to be honest I'm trying to find the lipstick I don't know where it is once I find it I will tell you guys).
\
The dark lip trend is really just not for me, I tried guys but the lipstick needs a lot of work.
Plus this lipstick does not dry matte even though it claims to be matte, I'm just not sold yet.

I thought that this post would be really light ooh well the dark lips
just hard to take the shine didn't they.

Just let's just hustle this month okay.

See you soon.
