African Extract carry some of my favourite affordable cruelty free products at the drugstore.
I had to share a mini get unready with me,
because the 3-in- mask and the make-up remover are
my ultimate African Extract products.
The 3-in-1 wash, scrub and mask will leave your skin feeling sooo refreshed and cleaned
I vouch for it. I also like the eye make-up remover because it is oil based so you know that
it will removed layers and layers of make-up in a few swipes.
I have a YouTube video up.
Take a look, please do subscribe.
See you soon.

I'm into tissue oils and everything else that claims to reduce dryness and stretchmarks these days.
So I'm about to try out the *African Extracts Tissue Oil.
Lets see what the claim is:
This Tissue Oil contains a blend of sweet almond, grape sweet and geranium oils, Bio-Active Rooibos extract and vitamin E, known
for its powerful antioxidant properties. It helps to improve the apperance of scarring, dry and dehydrated skin, skin under stress due to weight gain or weight loss,
dry, britle nails and cuticles, lifeless hair and dry scalp.
Are you for real, I can use this tissue oil on my nails and scalp, that's a first for me.
I think I'm going to love this oil.

MINI REVIEWS | CURRENT EMPTIES 2018
Gosh guys, I have been working on getting an empties post up for a while now.
I just thought that I should share my mini thoughts on each empty....and will I re-purchase/ replenish them again, well I don't know!!!.
Please keep on reading.
FACE CARE
Garnier Micellar Water: At first I used to brag about this product as it is made for people with dry skin like mine and now I'm on the fence lol, here is why when I first used it I was happy with the oil and all blah blah blah blah and now the oil
turns out to be my worst enemy this just dries up my skin and and when left long enough to dry before I moisturize then it becomes ashy....
You most def need to immediately continue your skincare routine after using this.
Beaucience Cleansing Gel: This product is most def getting a repurchase I use the whole bottle because the cleanser never irritated my eyes, (I have the most sensitive eyes in the world). Love the pump, the bottle and everything. If you want a detailed review
please do say, I will do this one.
Clere Radiance Oil Control: I have other great cleansers that work great, I will give
this one a pass on my next shopping run.
African Extract 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub & Mask: This product got me into masks, I like that you can use it as a scrub, wash and mask and it smells great (for me)
affordable and the tube carries alot of product.
African Extract Toner: This toner I was soo terrified that it will burn my face (my first toner experience killed other toners for me) however I was happy cause that didn't happen.
I like this toner because it didn't burn my face LOL, and it affordable it is one of the best toners on the drugstore, (would I replenish I would say yes cause it is also affordable and works).
BODY CARE
Savlon: I'm not really a fan of Antiseptics they just have their own distinctive smell that is just so over powering however they remind me of my mom and she used to swear by
them. When I gave birth apparently you need to use it, I don't know why (need to Google and do some research), will I repurchase (I have already),
they just have that throw back smell that I can't let go off as yet. .
Avroy Shlain Roll-on: Please don't buy this product, it is just full of alcohol and it will burn your under arms. However their Coppellia Intense Parfum that you can buy.
Justine Tabesheer Bloom: Rather buy this one, cause it smells great and won't burn you in the process.
Vaseline Intensive Care Spray: If you are pregnant do yourself a favor and get this spray and thank me later, if you are always tired to moisturize get this spray,
if you just want to moisturize in 1/2 the time get this spray.
HAIR CARE
BLM Natural Curl Wake-Up Hydrate: When I bought this one I was like NO it won't work and it also most def did prove me wrong, my natural hair was always soft and hydrated,
buy this when you have braids and you are looking to add moisture and volume to your hair.
Pure Royal Hair Mayonnaise: Guys let us be honest natural hair is more taxing than relaxed hair and I say this cause finally we are happy that our hair is not falling off in numbers and we are taking good care of it that we buy so many products to make sure our hair is well kept and I would say you need to use this product maximum 3 times ,
EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
NIVEA Hand Cream: I love a good hand cream and this NIVEA hand cream is a good one. The fragrance in it is not over powering and it
is compact meaning you can carry it around everywhere.
AfricanExtract Spot Treatment: This one I would give it a miss, it does not work as fast as I want my spot treatment to work. A good spot treatment for me works over night and by over night I mean in 6 hours the sign of a new pimple needs to have
gotten down dramatically and this product didn't do that for me.
MAKE-UP
Rimmel Lasting Finish: This foundation is the best affordable foundation on the market, yeap I said it. It is thick, full coverage , affordable I can go on and on about the foundation however I have a dedicated post about it coming soon on the blog (stay tuned).
LA Girl PRO setting spray: Your make-up stays in place the whole day and gets rid of the cakeyness plus it's affordable, so please do get it.
Essence fixing spray: Also does what it claims, and keeps your make-up in place plus it's affordable, so get it.
That's it for my current empties, hope you enjoyed my post.
Which empties have you tried before and did you like them, would like to know?
Have an awesome day.
See you soon

African Extracts ADVANTAGE RANGE Daily Repair Facial Oil Review
Hey darlings, earlier last month we got invited to the beautiful chilled Tashas in Mandela Square for breakfast by African Extracts. Today we are going to review a gorgeous product by African Extracts from their ADVANTAGE RANGE called *Daily Repair Facial Oil.
The claim:
This non-greasy treatment oil helps to reduce the appearance of dark marks and spots and protects skin from environmental damage. With the antioxidant power of Bio-Active Rooibos, vitamins and essential oils of geranium, German chamomile, rose, lavender and neem seed, this advanced, 100% natural derived lightweight oil helps reduce the signs of damage caused by environmental and lifestyle stress. Ideal skin that needs daily renewal and a brighter, more even skin tone.
The product:
It comes in a luxurious red box with gold trimmings. When you open the box, it comes in a gold cap, transparent bottle that enable you to see the contents inside. We like the packaging because if you didn't know that African Extract was a drugstore brand this product/advantage range could easily get mistaken as a high-end brand
Our experience:
The product has a dispenser dropper, that allows you to control the application easily because 2 to 3 drops you are okay, a little goes a long way here guys. Just because it is a facial oil it does not mean it will clog your pores, it just left our skin feeling hydrated and moisturized.
We also like that the oil absorbs faster which we thought it wouldn't.
Another favourite has to be the SPF 15 enriched Hand and Nail cream which we got at the event also.

Our Verdict:
It is a great product because its affordable retails for R169.99 and with continuous use we saw our skin having more moisture in a good way. The only bad thing about it is that you have to handle it with care because one slight mistake it falls and you will find all your product on the floor...trust us we learnt the hard way.

African Extracts Purifying Range Review
![]() |
| African Extracts | Cleanse, Tone & Moisturise |
Happy Valentines Day, my wish for you is nothing by a healthy looking skin!!!
If you have been following the blog & me on snapchat (snapchat - zanelemondi) then you will know that the skincare products I use on the daily to especially cleanse, tone and moisturize with are the African Extracts products.
Last year I won a year supply of their products and I have given away most of the products to family and friends I have also saved some for a huge giveaway I'm planning later this year, I'm just waiting for the products to accumulate and all *wink*.
Today I just thought that I should give you a review because I have been using African Extracts Purifying Range for a while now.
Face Wash:
African Extracts says the following "cleans deep down to the pores for problem free skin. Enriched with Rooibos and Baobab extract, which are renowned for their soothing and calming properties and skin clearing benefits. Spot control face wash leaves skin feeling refreshed and invigorated".
I just wet my face first, apply a very small amount cause a lil goes a long way. I like that the facewash is dry skin friendly as it does not leave my skin feeling dry and looking ashy.
Toner:
African Extracts say that the toner removes impurities and tightens pores.
My very first experience on using a toner back in high school was very traumatic, the toner was alcohol based and it cracked my face to the core and ever since then I wasn't toning that much. Since the African Extracts Toner is water based I was like let me give it a try, and I have been using it daily ever since because yet again the product does not leave my face feeling dehydrated, but it leaves it feeling clean.
Moisturizer:
African Extracts says that the moisturizer is "easily absorbed, non-greasy moisturizer works in two ways to reduce shine and help prevent blemishes".
Also I love using this moisturiser as it adds moisture to my face without making it feel greasy, but the only down fall here is has no SPF such a bummer.
My verdict:
I do like that the African Extracts Purifying Range is affordable and dry skin girl friendly. It is also good to know that the range is paraben free and that they don't test on animals.
P.S. Skincare is different for everyone and hey if you just use a facewash and moisturizer then you are good to go - good for you sister. On my side I just feel like the more the better, bring that serum, the spot control, bring that under-eye cream, that scrub, etc....
Hope you have enjoyed my review!!!
