MINI REVIEWS | CURRENT EMPTIES 2018
Gosh guys, I have been working on getting an empties post up for a while now.
I just thought that I should share my mini thoughts on each empty....and will I re-purchase/ replenish them again, well I don't know!!!.
Please keep on reading.
FACE CARE
Garnier Micellar Water: At first I used to brag about this product as it is made for people with dry skin like mine and now I'm on the fence lol, here is why when I first used it I was happy with the oil and all blah blah blah blah and now the oil
turns out to be my worst enemy this just dries up my skin and and when left long enough to dry before I moisturize then it becomes ashy....
You most def need to immediately continue your skincare routine after using this.
Beaucience Cleansing Gel: This product is most def getting a repurchase I use the whole bottle because the cleanser never irritated my eyes, (I have the most sensitive eyes in the world). Love the pump, the bottle and everything. If you want a detailed review
please do say, I will do this one.
Clere Radiance Oil Control: I have other great cleansers that work great, I will give
this one a pass on my next shopping run.
African Extract 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub & Mask: This product got me into masks, I like that you can use it as a scrub, wash and mask and it smells great (for me)
affordable and the tube carries alot of product.
African Extract Toner: This toner I was soo terrified that it will burn my face (my first toner experience killed other toners for me) however I was happy cause that didn't happen.
I like this toner because it didn't burn my face LOL, and it affordable it is one of the best toners on the drugstore, (would I replenish I would say yes cause it is also affordable and works).
BODY CARE
Savlon: I'm not really a fan of Antiseptics they just have their own distinctive smell that is just so over powering however they remind me of my mom and she used to swear by
them. When I gave birth apparently you need to use it, I don't know why (need to Google and do some research), will I repurchase (I have already),
they just have that throw back smell that I can't let go off as yet. .
Avroy Shlain Roll-on: Please don't buy this product, it is just full of alcohol and it will burn your under arms. However their Coppellia Intense Parfum that you can buy.
Justine Tabesheer Bloom: Rather buy this one, cause it smells great and won't burn you in the process.
Vaseline Intensive Care Spray: If you are pregnant do yourself a favor and get this spray and thank me later, if you are always tired to moisturize get this spray,
if you just want to moisturize in 1/2 the time get this spray.
HAIR CARE
BLM Natural Curl Wake-Up Hydrate: When I bought this one I was like NO it won't work and it also most def did prove me wrong, my natural hair was always soft and hydrated,
buy this when you have braids and you are looking to add moisture and volume to your hair.
Pure Royal Hair Mayonnaise: Guys let us be honest natural hair is more taxing than relaxed hair and I say this cause finally we are happy that our hair is not falling off in numbers and we are taking good care of it that we buy so many products to make sure our hair is well kept and I would say you need to use this product maximum 3 times ,
EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS
NIVEA Hand Cream: I love a good hand cream and this NIVEA hand cream is a good one. The fragrance in it is not over powering and it
is compact meaning you can carry it around everywhere.
AfricanExtract Spot Treatment: This one I would give it a miss, it does not work as fast as I want my spot treatment to work. A good spot treatment for me works over night and by over night I mean in 6 hours the sign of a new pimple needs to have
gotten down dramatically and this product didn't do that for me.
MAKE-UP
Rimmel Lasting Finish: This foundation is the best affordable foundation on the market, yeap I said it. It is thick, full coverage , affordable I can go on and on about the foundation however I have a dedicated post about it coming soon on the blog (stay tuned).
LA Girl PRO setting spray: Your make-up stays in place the whole day and gets rid of the cakeyness plus it's affordable, so please do get it.
Essence fixing spray: Also does what it claims, and keeps your make-up in place plus it's affordable, so get it.
That's it for my current empties, hope you enjoyed my post.
Which empties have you tried before and did you like them, would like to know?
Have an awesome day.
See you soon

Review | Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Charcoal Anti-Blackhead
Hey guys, to keep the skincare week going, I just thought that I should review the Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Charcoal Anti-blackhead (Wash, Scrub, and Mask) retail R99.99, so without wasting any of your time let us jump straight to it.
The claim:
Garnier claims that the mask is different because it can be used as a wash, scrub and mask to visibly reduce even the most resistant blackheads and help to prevent their appearance.
Garnier also continues to break-down each function from the wash part, to the mask part and all those instructions and functions are written at the back of the product.
The product:
The Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-blackhead comes in a tube similar to most Garnier cleansing products. What makes this product pop-out from the rest is that the container comes in black, I'm sure it is to emphasize that there is charcoal in the ingredients.
When you squeeze the tube up, a thick grey-ish like substance that smells minty comes out.
My experience:
I bought this Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-blackhead because I really wanted to try it out because I just have been developing alot of bad blackheads lately and just wanted to see if the mask would help. My first thought was that it comes in a tube like form and that is great because we all know how these masks that come with open containers can be messy. At first try I used it as a mask and I was pretty impressed with how quickly it dried up, but man that minty smell does not agree with my eyes they kept on crying. I'm checking the label now and it does not say anything about mint only claims to have a blueberry extract. Lately I have been using the 3-in-1 as a scrub and I feel like for me it works better that way.
My verdict:
Overall I'm happy with what the Garnier Pure Active 3 in 1 Charcoal Anti-blackhead has to offer, as the price is good and my blackheads are minimized the only boring part really for me is that this blueberry extract/minty smell is a bit harsh for my eyes. Would I recommend this, yes.
Thanks for making it this far...you are awesome.
See you soon.

Review | Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water
Sorry for not posting yesterday I was still updating the blog and it took longer
than usual, and it's not yet finished but getting there,
Although Monday the post does highlight that I want to work on a lot of things this
month I forgot to mention, I'm
also working on my pictures and picture editing,
should you maybe want a post on that "How I Edit My Pictures" I will do it gladly. I know it sounds silly (picture editing), but hopefully it does turn out great. I'm also trying to make my Instagram pop and be more pretty (crossing my finger that it works),
Today I bring to you a product that I wanted to try for a longtime
but was a bit hesitant to test it out cause it was one
of those products that were forever hyped on social media.
A month ago I finally bought the Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water - R85 thanks to the 3for2 deals that Clicks has and gave the product a try.
The biology student in me wanted to know what exactly is a micellar solution and what is conists of.. *A micellar solution consists of a dispersion of micelles in a solvent (most usually water). Micelles consist of aggregated amphiphiles, and in a micellar solution these are in equilibrium with free, unaggregated amphiphiles. Micellar solutions form when the concentration of amphiphile exceeds the critical micellar concentration (CMC) or critical aggregation concentration - CAC, and persist until the amphiphile concentration becomes sufficiently high to form a lyotropic liquid crystal phase.
Although micelles are often depicted as being spherical, they can be cylindrical or oblate depending on the chemical structure of the amphiphile. Micellar solutions are isotropic phases.
.............(So basically its "oily" particles that are able to pick up water.... I think) enough here:
The Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water is specifically made for people with dry skin like mine hence I was a bit hesitant on buying the blue and pink ones.
The very same day that I bought the cleansing water I had a full face of make-up on and now I wished I filmed a first impression video on it (next time I guess).
Got home at night removed my lashes and went at it, and because I love full coverage make-up I was like yeap this cotton wool and cleansing water are doing their job as the thick layer of make-up came off. I used two cotton wool to fully remove my make-up.
Right after use your skin does not feel dry, it actually feels moisturised and because I was using it for the first time I didn't continue with my normal skin routine
I left the product to dry up and I could see that yeap the "oily layer" that was there dried up and my skin was on the matte side, these
results made me happy because even though I have dry skin I don't want products that leave layers of oiliness on my skin cause those layers tend to then cause
breakouts and clogged pores.
Overall I'm happy with my buy, will I continue using it, yes.
Will I repurchase it, yes.
I hope that you have enjoyed my mini review,
Till tomorrow.
xx

Garnier Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub Review
![]() |
| Garnier Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub Review |
The claim:
Garnier says that the Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub washes
away fatigue to reveal radiant skin. Specifically formulated for dull and tired
looking skin, it has been enriched with citrus and moringa extracts to
instantly liven up skin. The creamy formula is infused with micro-particles
that gently exfoliate the skin for deep pore cleansing, leaving your skin
feeling clean, fresh and hydrated. For the best results use as part of your
daily beauty routine.
The product:
The Garnier Fresh Radiance Boosting Scrub comes in a tube
like almost transparent container, which shows the contents of the product
which you might assume that they are also orange (at least I thought so) however the product is
clear-ish, smells of that citrus and does contain those micro-particles that
they claim to have in the product.
My experience:
I have been a fan of the Garnier Pure Active forever see my old
reviews HERE and HERE but I never took notice of the scrub
because for a long time I wasn’t scrubbing (if that makes any sense LOL), I
picked it up in the middle of last year used it loved it, and now I’m on my
second bottle.
I was happy firstly with that smell gosh it smells great,
and that the micro-particles were micro (not huge like other face scrubs out
there) and that I could actually feel them scrubbing the dirt off my face.
As for removing dull and tiredness I would say that the
claim here is also true, as I suffer from excessive dry skin and when I say dry
I mean ashy skin all year around, and I need to keep my skin moisturized. I
like that even though this product is a scrub, it’s also great for dry skin as
it assists with removing that ashy-ness that occurs around my cheek area.
My verdict
If you have dry skin and are looking for that scrub that will
just make you happy, I recommend the Garnier scrub. The product does what it
claims.

Beauty | Garnier Hydra Match Revitalising Fresh Gel Dull And Tired Skin Review
Hey guys, hope that you are all well and okay. Today I will be reviewing for you the Garnier Hydra Match Revitalising Fresh Gel Dull And Tired Skin, I bought the face moisturiser in May at Clicks for R50.00 but the retail price is R64.00 and I only began using it July. The lotion has a gel like consistency and when I use it only requires a small amount (about a pea size). The Hydra Match smells great just like the gel wash in its range (see review here). The only thing that I don’t like with the product is that it does not have any SPF and I need to apply something with SPF with it.
People with dry skin might know this feeling, you know that
feeling just after you have washed your face and your skin has shrivelled when
I apply the Hydra Match my skin goes back to normal and the gel in the product helps in this instance with the application. Over all it is a good product but
if it came with SPF then it would be great.
