Quotes For Coping
The type of week I had deserves these quotes*.
xx
Zanele
“Sometimes I just think depression's one way of coping with the world. Like, some people get drunk, some people do drugs, some people get depressed. Because there's so much stuff out there that you have to do something to deal with it.”
― Ned Vizzini,
“It's funny: I always imagined when I was a kid that adults had some kind of inner toolbox full of shiny tools: the saw of discernment, the hammer of wisdom, the sandpaper of patience. But then when I grew up I found that life handed you these rusty bent old tools - friendships, prayer, conscience, honesty - and said 'do the best you can with these, they will have to do'. And mostly, against all odds, they do.”
― Anne Lamott, Traveling Mercies: Some Thoughts on Faith
“When a hurricane damaged my father's house, my brother rushed over with a gas grill, three coolers of beer, and an enormous Fuck-It Bucket - a plastic pail filled with jawbreakers and bite-size candy bars. ("When shit brings you down, just say 'fuck it,' and eat yourself some motherfucking candy.")”
― David Sedaris
“You never really know what's coming. A small wave, or maybe a big one. All you can really do is hope that when it comes, you can surf over it, instead of drown in its monstrosity.”
― Alysha Speer
“I guess in the end, it doesn’t matter what we wanted. What matters is what we chose to do with the things we had.”
― Mira Grant, Deadline
“Humor can make a serious difference. In the workplace, at home, in all areas of life – looking for a reason to laugh is necessary. A sense of humor helps us to get through the dull times, cope with the difficult times, enjoy the good times and manage the scary times.”
― Steve Goodier
“The mind knows the truth when your heart denies what it feels. When you don't feel safe to let people in it is because you're not ready to deal with the pain of honesty.”
― Shannon L. Alder

NEW IN | KANGOL Eyeshadow Palette
Just to keep the "NEW IN" momentum going I thought that I should share the Kangol Eyeshadow Palette. I really wanted to wait till I have all 3 but Truworths Sandton seems to be not stocking them and I have been waiting for more 3 weeks sooooooo I'm sharing the Metal Palette today.
The palette seems to be swatching great I have no complaints yet. I shared yesterday that the whole of next week I will be sharing my FOTD using all "NEW IN" products. Ooh I also bought the nail polishes which obviously I will be sharing on coming Manicure Monday posts.
Do have a great day.
Till tomorrow

New In | Blixtex Ultra-Rich Hydration Review
![]() |
| Blixtex /// Ultra-Rich Hydration Balm /// SHOP HERE |
Today on my New In feature I share my thoughts on the new Blixtex Ultra-Rich Hydration balm*. As usual on my reviews I will share what the manufacture claims
and my findings, well let us get into it.
Blistex claims the following "New Blixtex Ultra-Rich Hydration Balm is Lush protective formula fortified with wheat germ oil, beeswax and ceresin for smooth conditioned lips".
The Blixtex Ultra-Rich Hydration balm comes in a clear revealing cap, and has a distinctive blue inner core, which makes it simple to find in an aisle filled with other lip balms.
The balm has ingredients such as Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil and Jojoba (which I always thought it was Jobajoba); all the ingredients fit in my criteria of what makes a lip balm smell great, which will enable me to use it on the daily.
When you apply it is clear and actually smells great and lasts on the lips for about 6-8 hours on just one application. The down fall here is the retail price of R85 bucks, but I guess we are also paying for the SPF 15 that comes with it as other lip balms in this range don't come with any SPF.

I will keep it short!!! Manicure Monday posts really set the week for me and this week I want to start on a really great note. Since I can't really paint my nails this weekend (cause I broke a nail) I thought that I should share my current favourite hand creams.
Here on the blog I don't post a lot of "current favourite posts", and since I blog all the time about my hands (LOL) I thought that I should share hand creams that I'm really liking at present.
The very basic fundamental of having ashy hands or well moisturised hands
is just a great hand moisturiser.
I like hand lotions that are portable, that are affordable, smell great
and deliver on what they claim to do.
The shared hand lotions really do fit in my criteria.
See I promised that I will keep it short.

Online Shopping | Shade For Days
Yet another late night post then again I ain't complaining because a lot of my readers (this month Oct/Nov) are from the States (I see you - thank you kindly for the support),
Canada I also see you thank you, thank you.
Today's post is all about shade!!!
The shade that comes in Big Black Sunglasses* from GAMISS that only retails for $1.52 which is
approximately R21.00 who is complaining though.
I told that the site GAMISS was really affordable.
One cannot go wrong with a pair of black sunglasses, you just can't.
The shades is leaving the building....
On to the next post.

Avon ALPHA for her | Review
Today I have a parfum review for you. I haven't reviewed parfum in a while, but I will keep this one really short and sweet. I hope that you enjoy it.
Avon has come out with a new parfum, Avon Alpha for Her EDP* which retails for R520 but on sale now on the Nov/December brochure for R269. The fragrance comes in a beautiful bottle that is ombre red and with a gold top. The key note ingredients are raspberries, water lilies and warm musk, over all a fruity fragrance.
I think that the AD that we seen on TV also truly reflects this fragrance, the women is classy without trying too hard. This fragrance is just like that also, its has that fruitiness touch but not over powering which I love. This is a good fragrance to wear on the daily.
It has a fair staying power of about 4-6 hours.

Online Shopping | Gamiss.com Watch Review

| Online Shopping | Gamiss.com Watch Review |
The first item that I purchased was the CaiQi Fashion Diamond Dial Quartz Watch for Ladies* which currently retails for $7.71 in South African Rands that is about R103 which is a steal as quality watches normally ratail from $20 which is about R300 South African rands.
Gamiss.com has a range of watches and I'm must say that I'm impressed with my selection. The watch is curently sold-out now, but will notify you once it comes back in-stock. As mentioned the site does have a large range of available watches in-stock.
I have been wearing the watch daily since I got it and no chips and the trimmings are still in tact, the quality of the watch is great.
This is my first watch review hopefully it was short and sweet.

| Online Shopping | Gamiss.com Review |
A few weeks back I was contacted by the site Gamiss.com to do a little shopping on their site and also share my experience. I took on this offer because when it comes to online shopping on some international sites I'm still scaptical, lets get into the review and see how it went.
THE SITE
Gamiss.com mainly carries fashion for woman, man and kids at wholesale prices. They also carry bags, Jewelry, Hair, Accessories, Bags, Beauty, etc. The site as a whole is easy to navigate, you are able to see which stuff goes where and the payment options are also placed nicely on the footer. Taking about payment options I don't know about you but when I buy items internationally or locally I prefer using Paypal, cause I think it is "safer", anywhoooo lets move along.
SHOPPING
Shopping is quite easy on the site as you select the items that you want and move along to check out. When shopping the site also tells the appoximate amount of shipping costs. And that is the down side as the site does not offer free shipping to South Africa. I'm not complaining though as the prices are affordable so even with the shipping costs items don't cost as much as they would locally.
SHIPPING
Once payment has been made you will be able to track your parcel immediately, my items took 10 days to get to South Africa, then was with South African customs for like 30 days. I must say that the customs department failed me in this one or else I would have received the package sooner.
CONTENT
The item descrptions were on point as what I ordered on the site was exactely what I got *IMPRESSED*.
SUMMARY
Overall I'm impressed with what the site has to offer and will I be shopping there again? Yes!!! I will.
Do I recommened the site?
Yes
Shipping
4/5
Overall
4/5
P.S. In my next coming posts I will be sharing all the items* that I bought and reviweing them
individually, hopefully you will enjoy the posts.
Till the next post.
xx
