Self Motivation
Been away for a little while on most of my social media platforms and I have been thinking of a
new direction that I would like to take going forward. The more I think the more
things change around here and the world, so far I don't know if it is for the good or not but
on my side things have just not been great (I won't bore you with the ins and outs
of my life but I will say that this social distancing dilemma just made things a little
more challenging on the personal side of things).
I have been thinking about www.aroundsoweto.com alot and I have to say the previous year
I have been working towards the content that
I would like to produce and this isolation period that is upon us
has made it challenging but in a good way because I now get to be at home and work on the content
at a greater scale which is awesome.
The show must go on...
Being in the township during a pandemic/self-isolation time like this is really tricky but
I will get into it at detail on a post that I'm working on that is going up on Tuesday
(please look forward to it).
My social media is dead. the last post that went up on my YouTube Channel was
in December, Instagram?! I just don't want to think about it LOL but I have to
and will be sharing more content there, but I'm tired of the overly curated feed but still love taking beautiful pictures a balance will need to be establish there.
Typing out this blogpost is therapeutic, it is like I'm in a meeting but with myself and mentality (",)

Clere Radience | Meet Your Beautiful High Tea
On a rare occasion I got to dress up, wear full face makeup and attend a high tea,
this High Tea was different because not only were we there to celebrate Clere Radience as a brand
we were there to get some words of wisdom from women that we admire and aspire to become.
Last week I was lucky enough to score myself an invite to
the Clere Radience Meet Your Beautiful High Tea
The event had key note speakers in Career and Education Sithembile Mfeyela who spoke to us with grace and intelligence, for the inner Soul Enrichment Ofentse Lephoko
because lady when times get tough one needs look within and Entrepreneurship and Business Unathi Msengana gave us a lot of insides into working hard and knowing your worth.
I love events that just motivate you and re-ignite your passion for your craft.
As women we have to work extra hard on each and every sphere of our lives and without taking time
to appriciate what we have achieved so far.
Motivated!!! Yes I am.
The High Tea was held in a very beautiful venue Shepstone Gardens in Houghton
(a girl from Soweto with her little blog made it to Houghton, #DivineTimes),
the food was great and new friends I made will forever cherish.
Clere also offered us hand massages and facials but I ended up doing my hands only,
cause I had a whole load of makeup on.
Thank you very much Clere for the invite and the great words of wisdom received.

On a sad note my phone was stolen this past weekend and I must say that I'm livid as I had taken pictures for all my content this week and now there is another delay.

My Entry | African Extracts #PurifyOurWorld Competition

guys this is my entry for the African Extracts #PurifyOurWorld competition.

I
purify my world by volunteering at my locally based charity called Thembelenkosini
Care Givers (Soweto), which is a block away from where I stay.
The
charity works mostly as an after school programme for primary school kids,
other than them going home to an empty house (because most parents are still at
work from 1pm till 6pm), the kids get to interact with their peers, do some
homework, have an afternoon light meal and then play.
Every
now and then then the kids get to be treated with fun and games by going to the
local zoo's and exploring Gauteng and hopefully the rest of Africa soon.
P.S. The competition is open to all
residents in South Africa and runs from 9 June 2016 to 30 August 2016.
