My Entry | African Extracts #PurifyOurWorld Competition

Hey guys this is my entry for the African Extracts #PurifyOurWorld competition.

The winner gets to win R10 000 for the Charity of their choice and a years worth of African Extracts Purifying range.

One can enter the competition by simply going to http://www.africanextracts.com

See my entry HERE https://youtu.be/-qczoSRHFEY

I purify my world by volunteering at my locally based charity called Thembelenkosini Care Givers (Soweto), which is a block away from where I stay.

The charity works mostly as an after school programme for primary school kids, other than them going home to an empty house (because most parents are still at work from 1pm till 6pm), the kids get to interact with their peers, do some homework, have an afternoon light meal and then play.

Every now and then then the kids get to be treated with fun and games by going to the local zoo's and exploring Gauteng and hopefully the rest of Africa soon.

P.S. The competition is open to all residents in South Africa and runs from 9 June 2016 to 30 August 2016.

July In Review

I thought that I should do a post were I sum-up my July because I only did one post, like really what kind of blogger am I?
July began in a very great note I was offered a chance to interview for a good position and guess what I got the job, so I have been familiarizing myself with a new job, new people and so far I’m enjoying it. The number of posts had to go down as my 8-5pm take first preference.

My internet connection also was not that great which also killed my mojo when it came to posts, as I prefer to write my posts on the day off and not in advance, but I think I will be implementing the advance post method as a lot of blogger are thriving on it.
I also got to attend two events as a blogger in July and I have posted about them on my Instagram @zanelemondi and I must say *honored*, I will posting some pictures from both events aswell as sharing the messages that I got from them.

I posted a picture on Instagram were I promised a giveaway and I will be doing it hopefully by the end of next week. I’m sorry to keep you guys waiting but it will be worth it as it will be opened for the following countries (South Africa, Botswana and Namibia).

August is my grans birthday month and I cannot wait to spend the day with her.
I hope your July was also filled with excitement and new things.

BrightFutureSA | The Time To Act Is Now!!!

On Tuesday (5th July 2016) I attended the BrightFuture event which was held at the very beautiful Shine Studios in Braamfontein Johannesburg. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the new BrightFuture Schools Programme by highlighting how the ambitions of South African children are sometimes beyond their reach, due to circumstances out of their control, such as poor sanitation.

Last night’s event was attended by Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi , UNICEF South Africa Country Director, Herve Ludovic de Lys, Unilever South Africa Executive Vice President, Peter Cowan and Unilever Executive Vice President, Africa, Bruno Witvoet and several local celebrities, including Claire Mawisa, Refiloe Mpakanyane, Aya Mpama and Sam Marshall.
