Bramley Cosmetics | First Impressions Post

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guys, welcome back to my blog I'm so happy with my progress this week.
I'm actually uploading.... Sooo happy.

So remember a while back when I shared a NEW IN post from Bramley Cosmetics (HERE)
and I wanted to do a first impressions on them, well I finally did 1st week September I filmed
a video and ooh boy the results shook me

WATCH HERE:

Sooo Update:
UPDATE:
I promised on the video that I will be doing a follow up on the Toner because I was
reacting too it, mostly my eyes because I have very sensitive eyes.
For an alcohol based toner I'm also shook that it did not dry my skin out however
I don't think I will be gravitating towards it unless I have major pimples that need to clear
in a short space of time.

If you are long for very affordable products I do recommend them.

See you soon.

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guys, hopefully you have been well and okay.
Today I bring to you a review of the POND'S Flawless Radiance DermaSpa Review, that I received from Beauty Bulletin a few weeks back.

Firstly I would like to apologise to Beauty Bulletin for not reviewing the products on the set dates as I know how important it is to get the work out on new launches
hopefully I am forgiven.

Secondly a big congratulations to fellow Blogger Melody Molale for scoring such a huge campaign on being the Face of range and girl we are proud of you the AD's be popping up everywhere
including out TV screens.

Lastly I have uploaded a quick demo on the YOUTUBE Channel hopefully you also check how I use the range, please make sure that you have subscribed.

The Claim:

The Derma+ Night Cream works while you sleep, targeting the skin’s deepest layers to lighten dark spots. Use in the evening as part of a daily regime.
My Experience:
Hydrating Day Gel SPF 15 I have dry skin for dayzzzzzzz and when I saw the gel I could tell that my skin would like it. The gel does make my skin feel hydrated however during the day I feel like it does need re-applying ( I told you guys that I have dry skin), maybe now since it is spring/summer my skin will adjust to the product better.

Brightening Micellar Water this one is perfectly made for my sensitive eyes, because I have dry skin I though that after removing my make-up my skin would feel dry it doesn't at all.
The part I haven't figured out yet is the re-brightening part however my skin still looks good though.

Perfecting Serum  if there was ever a product that I could repurchase time and time
again this would be the one.
Together with the hydrating gel they go hand-in-hand which is awesome.
The only boring part on this one is that the packaging is not transparent so
I couldn't tell when the bottle finishes.

Night Cream this one is usually neglected in my night time routine and on night that I do use the product in the morning my skin does feel refreshing and I will continue to use it
 and include in my routine.

Almay First Impressions | Yay or Nay

Hey guys welcome back to the blog.
Today I have another great upload for you, I test out the newly re-branded Almay.
The video was filmed 1st week September however I never got around to posting it.
This weekend I had an option to re-film my first impressions, however I just wanted
the first one to be as is (I hope you like that).

Products Mentioned:
- Almay Best Blend Forever™ Makeup
- Almay Smart Shade Skintone Matching™ Concealer
- Almay™ Pressed Powder
- Almay Palette Pops™ Eyeshadow Naturalista – Neutral Shades
- Almay Liquid Lash Extenders™ Mascara
- Almay Goddess Gloss™

SHOP : HERE

My Experience:
At first I don't want to lie, I was a bit skeptical Almay products haven't been that
exciting the only product I gravitate towards is their eyeshadow trio set which I have been using for the longest time.

I really like the new look and theme #RevealTheTrueYou
"Hypoallergenic. Fragrance free. Sensitive. Our products are designed with all skin types in mind".
Speaking to skin types the issue of shade ranges was raised and Almay says:
"We’re going wide. In the next few years, we’re looking to expand shades, embrace change and empower self-expression in every stroke".
I'm happy that they have acknowledged that they are lacking in the shade range of things.

My Verdict:
If you are looking for make-up that is Hypoallergenic and have sensitive eyes like mine,
you will love this range.

I would love to do a breakdown of all products in a later stage in forms of a review, but for now
enjoy my first impressions.

See you soon.

Natural Hair Non Wash Day Routine

Soweto, South Africa

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog.
Hope everyone has been keeping well and okay I really cannot believe that
I have not relaxed my hair in 2 years.
Not relaxing my hair has been the best decision I have ever made, my hairline is
back I just wish that I didn't
bleach it last year June (I blame it on the pregnancy hormones though).

When I did my big chop I followed a lot of blogs and watched a lot of YouTube Channels and all I can say is everyone's hair is different,
what might work on someone else might not work for you do a lot of research.

Ever since I had my baby I have been stressing on this "postpartum shedding thing" and really there is nothing no one can do about it, hair will shed
that is just the natural process of life, I also feel we can control how much it sheds though.

For example my hair is best kept when I have the benny and betty style (minimum shedding and quick and easy to maintain)
Then I went on to do box braids (worst mistake), because I didn't know that my hair would tangle and shed in bulk loads when I took them out.
No amount of part products could have saved this one because I left them on for too long.

I'm babbling.....

Get to the point......please.
So lately I have been doing the following which my hair has been loving, wash my hair once every two or three weeks (yes I said three weeks)
but in between every 6 to 7 days I would untie my hair, first by (spraying Long & Lasting Activator Spray) just to make my
detangling process a bit quicker and better plus the spray is affordable and moisturizing, after untying my hair I would go in with my hair foods
Long & Lasting Triple Oil Rescue and Excel-E Nourisher just to add more softening and nourishing products especially in between the parts that don't usually get products
.(You can use any spray or hair foods of your choice here I'm sharing the Long & Lasting products because they are working for me).

I will do a more in-depth 2 year natural hair journey soon, however I'm glad I did this post it has been on my mind for a while.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.

See You Soon.

Dr. Beyers Naude High School wins the 10th Investec Soccer League final

Soweto, South Africa
On the 10th anniversary of the Investec Soccer League (ISL) Dr. Beyers Naude High School beat Lavela Secondary School to win the league, as first-time champions and worthy recipients of the special 10-year anniversary R250 000 grand prize.

The final took place at the Nike Football Stadium in Soweto on Saturday 15 September 2018. Neither school had ever reached the finals of the ISL, so the pressure was intense. The match went to penalties after concluding in a draw, with Dr Beyers Naude High School winning 5-4.

Ms Victoria Matshiqi, Principal of Dr. Beyers Naude High School, who watched the team claim victory, said she was overwhelmed by the reaction of the boys when they realised they had won. “The whole team was jumping up and down with excitement and ran over to me for a group hug, almost knocking me over! They were singing and dancing – it made me very happy!” The school celebrated the team’s win with a special assembly where representatives from the SGB and Department of Education presented the players with their medals, while their fellow learners cheered them on.

Coach Andile Msomi, who coached his first season at Dr Beyers Naude High School this year, is immensely proud of the players. “The whole team worked very hard to get to the semi-finals and then the finals. All of my players could be professionals one day, because they are so dedicated to the sport. We look forward to defending our title in 2019!” said Msomi.
Hard work paid off for Lavela Secondary School, Lamula Secondary School and Sebetsa Secondary School, the other teams that qualified for the semi-finals. Their schools all received prize money ranging from R50 000 to R120 000 as a result of their achievements.

Now that the games are over, Investec will enter into an important process of engaging with each winning school so as to jointly determine best use of the prize money. The aim of this process will be to ensure maximum benefit for the schools and their learners.

“It has been such a privilege to see the success of the Investec Soccer League over the years, and the way it has helped young people,” said Setlogane Manchidi, Head of CSI for Investec.
“This programme is about development through sports, not just sports development. We’re happy to see the players pick up skills that will help them throughout life.”

The ISL is fully endorsed by the Gauteng Department of Education and involves 20 high schools from across Soweto, benefiting 360 learners under the age of 21, in grades 8 to 12. The ISL is geared towards developing football talent, but also encourages teamwork, and imparting life skills. The league also fosters positive competitiveness as well as discipline, focus, tenacity and drive – all of which can help players in their respective careers.
