Zanele Mondi
since people's attention span has gone down to 30 secs
thanks to Tik Tok AND Instagram's Reels but I believe that we are still a reading world and
Google wouldn't still be giving word search to direct website and blogs
if indeed people's attention span was down to 15secs.
It's 2021 I still love blogging and wouldn't give it up hey, it's just one of those things
that I do and are fulfilling to my soul.
Here is the plan for 2021 LOL (I'm laughing because this post is going up on the 30th of January)
but what the world has has taught me over the past 10 months is do what
you love because each day is a gift, and my gift to the world
is this blog and the words/motivation/reviews/and what ever thing that would
motivate me to write more.
MY BLOGGING GOALS FOR 2021
1. Start sharing my truth (I'm tired of being the bigger person especially when it comes to
working with brands).
2. Be consistent (I love it when there is a new post daily up in here).
3. Grow My Readership List
5. DO More Beauty reviews and share my thoughts regarding the beauty realm
because I believe has grown so brands need more views about them
right?!
&
5. And Just Have Fun
Wish Me Luck
See You Soon

Hey guyzies, OMG I don't remember the last time I did a proper manicure and lately I have
not been loving nailpolish as it cracks during the week and I don't have time to
be re-applying it.
Then there is gel which would require me to take sometime off
(during a Saturday and Sunday to have it
applied and I just don't have the time). Yeap being a mom has taken soo much of my time and
I'm really still trying to adjust but it's soo hard to squeeze in some me time.
As I type this out on a Sunday my baby Asanda is having her afternoon nap and I thought I should add some content for Monday's post.
Anywho this post is just to say OMG press on's for me have been the IT,
I have been buying them at Clicks have been skeptical however they proved me wrong, especially the
short ones, don't sleep on them guys.
Anywho, here's to a great week.

For the longest time we never had a Christmas Tree at home,
but always had tinsels but in 2013 my sister and I just wanted a tree
and we went for the most affordable skinniest tree ever but we have learned
to love it through out the years.
Overall I'm happy with the way the tree was decorated this year and I just
love how affordable everything were but ended up looking great and expensive.

Review | All About Face Masks
Is it just me or everyone is face masking a lot these day, and if you ain't well you should be because it's fun and leaves your skin feeling refreshed, tightened and toned.
Benefits:
Me time: Most face masks need 10 minutes minimum to efficiently work, so what does one do during that period to kill time, chill of-course a lil cucumber some candles and a bubble bath and you are at a spa.
Cleansing and unclogging pores: Using a face-wash on the daily is great as it removes dirt and make-up, however face masks take cleansing to another level.
Unmask: Once your done using a face mask your face feels rejuvenated and glowing, if you haven't masked (use a face mask) before you just need to try it atleast once.
How To:
1. LOL this is optional cause some masks can be messy so you need to tighten your hair and make sure it is nowhere near the face.
2. Wash your face as normal using a face wash, and semi pat dry your face as it is better applying a mask on a damp face.
3. Leave it on your face for the period of time or as recommend by the manufacturer
4. When you remove the mask use plenty of water as the mask clings on your face when it has dried up so e.g. dampen your wash cloth then hold it on your face for while do this till the face mask loosens up which will make it easy for it to come off.

My routine
I use the Avon Clearskin pore penetrating Black Mineral Mask once a week as I have dry skin, depending on what problems you would like to target you can use it as frequent as recommended.
I just apply a thin layer of the Avon Clearskin Pore Penetrating Black Mineral Mask to my semi damp face, wait for the mask to transform from a black to a light grey colour. The chilling time for the mask is 10 to 15 minutes, and I usually chill with the mask for 15 minutes.
This is the 3rd tube I have purchased and used and so far so good, I ain't complaining.
Please do tell me if you are using any masks yet and do you
see any difference on your skin?
see any difference on your skin?
Thank you so much for checking out my post,
see you soon!!!

Foundation Review | Yardley Defy Time Foundation
![]() |
| Yardley Defy Time Foundation Review /// Shade Caramel |
It's Friday we made it, today I just thought that I should do my first foundation review of 2017 I hope that you enjoy it. I bought the Yardley Defy Time Foundation just when January began because this year I'm on a quest of trying new things so why waste time.
Yardley claims that the foundation has skincare benefits that helps fight the signs of ageing.
The foundation has idealife for a firmer younger, radiant looking appearance. Contains SPF 20 to protect against the harmful and ageing effects of UV rays and that the foundation is also medium coverage.
The Yardley Defy Time Foundation comes in a glass bottle that that has a pump and which makes it easier for one to control how much product they would like to use. I like that drugstore products are making pumps for their products nowadays, atleast our endless complaints are being heard.
The foundation claims to be medium in coverage which I agree but I'm happy that it is also build-able, because I prefer full coverage foundations. Being a medium coverage foundation on my first application I thought that the coverage would be mediocre but to my surprise
the coverage is really good.

| Zanele Mondi /// Yardley Defy Time Foundation /// Shade Caramel Try On |
The foundation is water based which makes for a dewy type of a finish which is also amazing for my dry skin, cause matte foundations tend to be cakey when I don't use a primer that is oil based.
On my first application I used a foundation brush and I thought nah this foundation will not be okay hey as it was not blending well, washed my face sat down for like an hour then tried the foundation again this time using a damp beauty sponge to blend it in and the results where just amazing, just have a look at the finish product (picture above) """" da boom dot com"""" do people still say that!!!
Overall I'm happy with the foundation because it gives me a dewy finish which is perfect for that summer glow, and I'm hoping that it will still be good in winter aswell.

2017 Blog & Personal Goals
![]() |
| 2017 Blog & Personal Goals /// In Out & Around Soweto Blog |
Well done!!! We made it to 2017 and all I can say is, lets do this.
This year I plan on giving my blog In Out & Around Soweto more love, let us see how I do this.
1. Growing my readership. My current pageviews are just above 80 000 views and I plan on tripling this number in 2017, I can only hope right?
2. Work on quality content. Not to say that the content that I'm currently giving you is not quality but I always feel like there is always something more that I could have given on a post and this year, I'm giving that more. (***New posts up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday - Will be changing this when the year progresses to even more posts so don't forget to follow my blog via email so you don't miss a post).
3. Expand the blog. I would like to also work on my YouTube Channel this year, last year I did try but was not happy with what I was producing, 3rd time is a charm righ?
4. Spend even more time with the family. I love my family so much guys and this year I just want to spend even more time with them.
5. This one is very personal. If I don't put this out there then I won't do it (right), but I would like to start a weightloss journey this year, (lets see how that will turn out).
I hope that my mini goals will also inspire you to start your own journey.
I wish nothing but success for all of us all in 2017.
Lets do this.
xx
** Edit from the 16th of January 2017 I opted to blogging daily because having space in-between my actual post days really made me lazy and being lazy will just not cut-it in 2017

My Year | Beauty Blog Catch-up
WARNING!!!
This post is everywhere but I had fun typing it out, blogging sometimes is supposed to be imperfect because the imperfects make perfect or something like that!!!.
Wow when the year began I really didn't know that I would end up writing more than 150 posts*.
I nearly stopped there in July when things workwise/blog wise/personal relationships were just not happening. (Check July 2016 only one post produced). When you are at your lowest that's when you need to put in more energy because August was another great turning point for the blog and I couldn't be more happier with the frequency I produce now.
I always get the “when are you going to lose your .blogspot.com” and my answer is all in good time. Ooh YouTube was another stumbling block for me this year!!! (I might re-visit that next year, crossing my fingers). The blog I can happily say that it is doing well "views and reach wise" Norway I see you!!!
I am grateful to every company that supported In Out & Around Soweto and all I can say is "the best is yet to come". MY dear readers/friends/family/ Sowetans I would like to thank you for inspiring me this year and just being there with me through all the messed up posts, spelling mistakes, inconsistent posts you are the best, the best, the best.
Side note *Cassper Nyovest quotes are still one of the most searched quotes on the blog LOL, must really do something about that*
I am still yet to withdraw from my Adsense, waiting for that $100 dollar cheque LOL, anywho I'm not doing this for the money just paving the way for younger girls and boys In Out & Around Soweto who thought starting up a blog is impossible.
Speaking of young boys and girls the Thembelani Enkosini kids got brand new shoes last week, as Christmas presents all is well.
Let me leave the post here and stop babbling, will finish everything on Fridays posts.

*Edit just checked my blog uploads for 2016 and they are standing at 130 but pretty close to 150 LOL

Online Shopping | Shade For Days
Yet another late night post then again I ain't complaining because a lot of my readers (this month Oct/Nov) are from the States (I see you - thank you kindly for the support),
Canada I also see you thank you, thank you.
Today's post is all about shade!!!
The shade that comes in Big Black Sunglasses* from GAMISS that only retails for $1.52 which is
approximately R21.00 who is complaining though.
I told that the site GAMISS was really affordable.
One cannot go wrong with a pair of black sunglasses, you just can't.
The shades is leaving the building....
On to the next post.
