Revlon | You Deserve Great Lashes

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, I must say Revlon has been killing it when it comes
to product launches and making their products seen by
the masses lately and when a product is on a discount then it is even better.

Revlon is current running a promotion (for a limited time period)
and they have their mascara's on discount for R99.95
their normal retail price is normally R164.95

My favorites are the *Revlon Mega Multiplier (for my non existent short lashes) then
I go over it with the Super Length (to add a bit of length) because I have to add volume first
then add some length.

Check out the chart above and see where you belong because you
deserve some great lashes too.

Dischem is currently having their beauty fair, so some of them
will be even cheaper.

Mommy Monday | This Time Last Year

Soweto, South Africa
Good morning guyzies, when some said time flies
I didn't know that they were actually referring to life itself.
This time last year I had to go in hospital for an elective induced labour
because my baby was passed her due date.

There were major complications on that day and
(I will talk about them when I'm ready).

Asanda is turning 12 months tomorrow I couldn't be more blessed
to have seen time itself in progress.

Thank you for choosing me to be your Mom.

Manicure Monday - We Still Good

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, OMG I don't remember the last time I did a proper manicure and lately I have
not been loving nailpolish as it cracks during the week and I don't  have time to
be re-applying it.
Then there is gel which would require me to take sometime off
(during a Saturday and Sunday to have it
applied and I just don't have the time). Yeap being a mom has taken soo much of my time and
I'm really still trying to adjust but it's soo hard to squeeze in some me time.

As I type this out on a Sunday my baby Asanda is having her afternoon nap and I thought I should add some content for Monday's post.
Anywho this post is just to say OMG press on's for me have been the IT,
I have been buying them at Clicks have been skeptical however they proved me wrong, especially the
short ones, don't sleep on them guys.

Anywho, here's to a great week.

Review | Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation Mocha

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies, hope your morning is up to a great start.
Just a lil reminder I did a WetnWild Photofocus Foundation Review
which is up on my YouTube Channel.

I also shared my shopping experience when I picked up the foundation
at Clicks Eastgate Mall because I really wanted to get my hands on it which was just not on, a few days later I went to the Clicks at Jabulani Mall and darker shades were there planning to
pick up a lighter warmer shade later this month.

Going forward will most definitely keep my shopping local (Soweto)
which has been the way but I got bitten| by miss impulsive buyer and got to
pay the price.

Hair - 2 Year Natural Hair Update

Soweto, South Africa
December 2017
Hello Guyzies last week I shared with you that I’m on a healthy hair journey but I feel like we need to go back to the beginning so that I can track my progress with you.

I have to add that my hair could be sooo much longer but then I decided to bleach it 2 years back (June 2017 and I regretted it immediately) now that I look back on it was the pregnancy hormones getting the best of me, I didn’t even know I was pregnant at that time I think I was around 2 weeks 3 weeks into it. It’s been a struggle however I’m glad to say that most
of that fragile hair is now gone and I can focus on the healthy bits.
January 2019
Another thing that I was hoping wouldn't happen was post-partum shedding and thank goodness nothing huge came off, which I’m grateful.
So right now how I style my hair is in a Benny and Betty style wash/conditioner it every two weeks and apply my hair foods and oils.
This year I would really like to wear my hair out a lot and not depend on wigs.
I will be watching an lot of hair tutorial, and one blogger that I have been watching is
((Miriam Maulana (Beauty & Hair Vlogger)) and I toughly enjoy hair channel and how informative it is when it comes to detailed tutorials.

Overall I’m quite excited with my hair journey.
Please do tell me are you a natural hair girl or relaxed hair is the way for you. Do you have any channels that you would like to recommend for me to watch?

Thank you soo much for coming through.

Enjoy your day.

Review | Maybelline Super Stay 24H Full Coverage Foundation

Soweto, South Africa
Hey guyzies I hope your day went off on a great note.
I wanted to do a first impressions on the channel however I was so eager to use the foundation I went in hard on it in December and it has been a favorite since (oops gave out the verdict on my intro but let me tell you why I like it).

The claim:
Glides on for smooth, breathable wear (true)
Diminishes uneven skin tone (true)
Dermatologist tested—will not clog pores (not sure about the dermalogist part but the not clogging pores part is true)
Covers all day (eeem soo true)

The product:
Comes in a glass bottle (you know the company is serious about this one ((because most drugstore foundations that are this price usually don't hey)), has a pump which is great for hygienic purposes. I’m pretty happy with the overall packaging whoever the white cap does get dirty pretty quickly but can be cleaned easily with a wiper.

My experience:
I was a bit skeptical at first I don’t know why but when I swatched it at Dischem I knew that I am going to love it. It applied nicely and covered my under eye dark circles.  A little goes a long way and the fact that I got it for R129.99 during a sale I’m over the moon, normal retail price is R199.95 (LINK - SHOP HERE)
I’m pretty impressed with the foundation it comes in 28 shades
and you won’t regret your hard earned money here.

See me do my everyday makeup using the foundation: (YouTube Channel - Zanele Mondi)
If you have any foundation review requests,
please do not hesitate to mention them below.

See you soon.

One day to go till Friday (“,) so in today’s post we talking hair remember guys under my wigs there is natural hair I know nothing about styling. Earlier this year I nearly relaxed the hair then I was like no ways I've been natural for two years now and I’m not giving up.
To my luck I saw YolzChannel (who is a big South African YouTuber) like to channel HERE she talks everything hair and also had her baby last year and she is a bubble of joy whenever you are watching her video’s, she launched a haircare challenge for 2019 and I want in because I would like to wear my natural hair out more this year.

To prep for the challenge she recommended the below product, the shook of my life when I saw the prices. On her social posts people are sharing cheaper alternates which I bought and hopefully will help my hair grow.

The products she mentioned.

Wellness Wednesday – Introduction

Soweto, South Africa

Hope your day is off to a great start, I was actually brain storming main topics to talk about on the blog and this one was just popping up each and every time. LOL I’m taking it as a sign that I need to start moving and sorting out my life not only emotionally but physically.

Here is what I would like to achieve in this series:
-          An in depth understanding about myself (emotional, physical and spiritually)
-          How to treat people around me (I tend to feel more disconnect so I would like to learn more on building relationships with people around me including my subbies.
-          Understand my body, the foods that will make me healthy and the foods making me sick
-          Share my weightloss journey openly and be unapologetic about it
 #wishmeluck

Hopefully we go on this journey together and find wellness.

See you soon.

SkinCare | Dermalogica Rapid Peel Does It Work?

Soweto, South Africa

First review for 2019 buckle up it’s a good one.

So Dermalogica sent me a at home Rapid Reveal Peel kit  few months back and because I’m always skeptical of skincare I decided not to use it. Then in the beginning of the year because (New Year new me) I then decided to give this peeling product a try let us see how it went.

Because my sister is a skin care fanatic I decided to share with her half of the products so we can see how well it works on my skin (dry skin) her skin (oily skin) and all I can say is I’m shook with the results. Let’s have a look:

The Claim:

removes dulling surface debris to reveal bright, healthy-looking skin

reduces the appearance of fine lines and smoothes skin texture

helps maintain radiant-looking results between professional peel treatments

The product:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Lactobacillus/Pumpkin Fruit Ferment Filtrate, Ethoxydiglycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Pullulan, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sclerotium Gum, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Menthyl Lactate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Vanillyl Butyl Ether, Silica, Ethylhexylglycerin, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Citral, Geraniol, Linalool, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol

Pic

My experience:

So I have never been a fan of products that claim to brighten because I find them to be a bit gimmicky and the ones that actually (brighten they can actually be found at Small Street in Johannesburg and those will peel your skin till it looks burnt LOL).

The tube might appear small but when I say a little goes a long way I mean a little goes a long way. I did feel a slightly tingle during the first 3 days when the product was applied to my face, however the tingly effect did go down when I removed the product with a damp cloth on my face.

So in my experience with the Dermalogica Rapid Peel is that it does not brighten however it does leave my face looking a bit even with a tiny glow, which I am really pleased about.

On my experience I would say use it everyday for the 1st three days then once a week to maintain the glow. It worked well on my dry skin and on my sister’s oily skin. Overall I’m impressed and even though the price of R1,495.00 was making me run away from the product, this pack would last you a whole year and because I have shared it with my sister 5 to 6 months (“,) which is not bad at all.

Have you tried any Dermalogica products before, which ones are your favourite?

Hope you have enjoyed my first official review for 2019 and can’t wait to write more posts.

See you soon.

Mommy Monday | Being a Mom Juggling Me, Baby and Everything Else

Soweto, South Africa
Good morning, eish this one is a bit hard to type out because I’m busy it’s a Saturday and Asanda has my hands full. She is at the crawling eat everything on the floor, mommy I wanna stand but cannot stand on my own phase, cry because I feel like it stage
 and I’m tired.

My first love when it comes to this social media business is blogging and over the past year I have been struggling to find my feet again because reviewing products day in and out was no longer cutting it for me, because I have evolved as a person.

Sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves in terms of where we are in life and the things we still need to fulfill. As a new Mom I sometimes forget that
and I want to loose weight now, get this now do this now and
it can be very overwhelming sometimes.

Eeem being a mom is hard and when it comes to having a blog, youtube situation it does get tricky. My sister currently takes care of my baby during the week and I can’t be asking her to take care of the baby while I do a quick tutorial for my YouTube Channel over weekends because that would be pushing it. Whether I like it or not my hobby is now my part time job as it does bring in a few rands every now and then which means I have to be smart about it and do laundry at night take pictures at work
and all but I have to make it work.
Not to overwhelm myself but I think the following will apply on the blog going forward.
Monday (Mommy Monday, Tuesday something about skincare, Wednesday Wellbeing, Thursday Hair, Friday beauty and when I’m feeling extra I will throw in a post on Saturday and Sunday).

Then the YouTube Schedule will be as follows: (Monday Makeup I wore at work, Wednesday a review, Friday another review and demo).

Since I’m putting it out there I truly hope that this comes into flourishing and I keep my focus going (because I don’t want another panic attack LOL).

See you soon guys.

Spiritual Sunday | Social Media The Lust & All

Soweto, South Africa

Good morning, I would like to touch on the word lust (greed, greediness, desire, craving, covetousness, eagerness, keenness, avidness, avidity, cupidity, longing, yearning, hunger, thirst, appetite, hankering "a lust for power").
Lust: Lust is a psychological force producing intense wanting for an object, or circumstance fulfilling the emotion. Lust can take any form such as the lust for sexuality, money or power.

We live in a generation of instant gratification and if we do not get it now as in now now now, then oooh boy we get depressed and start assuming even a small thing like your boyfriend or friend not responding instantly to a message we start assuming the worst.
When is that going to stop!? Is it ever going to stop!?

                                             +
I would like to share with you a few quotes that over LUST that
will make you ponder a bit:

Have a blessed Sunday further.

I envy people that know love. That have someone who takes them as they are.
― Jess C Scott, The Devilin Fey

If they substituted the word 'Lust' for 'Love' in the popular songs it would come nearer the truth.
― Sylvia Plath, The Unabridged Journals of Sylvia Plath

I hunger for your sleek laugh and your hands the color of a furious harvest. I want to eat the sunbeams flaring in your beauty.”
― Pablo Neruda

Most of all, I hate you because I think of you. Often. It's disgusting, and I can't stop.
― Holly Black, The Cruel Prince

Desire is the kind of thing that eats you and leaves you starving.”
― Nayyirah Waheed

My First Panic Attack

Soweto, South Africa
Good morning, I hope your Saturday is off to a great start, I wanted to interrupt regular programing to bring to you a life event that occurred last week Sunday around midnight when I actually thought I was dying.

So midnight all I heard around my chest area was a huge (guuuu sound) and then I had a major sharp pain. I couldn’t scream nor do anything and on my right hand side was my baby Asanda and I just began praying and crying.

Went to the kitchen drank some water and still the pain would not let go. I laid there in the dark wondering what this huge pain was and fell asleep (as I type this I'm like yeah right Zanele sleeping while your dying must be nice). As I woke up in the morning to go to work the pain was just too much to bare so I went to the doctor.

I get to the doctor and the first thing that she asked me was “how old was I?” and replied 29 as I continued to tell the doctor about this huge pain and she laughed it off slightly and said that was a PANIC ATTACK, me no why, never.

So as I write this now I know what triggered the panic attack that Sunday and it was news from a very close person in my life that brought me pain last year and I guess I haven’t yet healed from that situation and this situation will take me time to heal.

3 Things I Take Away From My First Panic Attack

1.     Identify the trigger (why did I go to bed feeling hurt to the point that my body and brain were still in shock from the situation)
2.      Don’t take it personally (because these news triggered me then my day was ruined and couldn’t function anymore, situation has occurred and there is
nothing I can do about it.
3.     Being More Self-aware (I’m glad that I actually identified the actual trigger of the situation and next time will handle my mini attack a bit better).

In coming weeks will go more in self-awareness because
it has to deal with growth of the mind, because this year we
are not only growing in years but mentally as well.

See you soon

2019 Blog and YouTube Goals

Soweto, South Africa
Hello babes hope you are well and okay.

I know I have some explaining to do. January no posts WHAT?
Explanations will unveil as I plan on being more open this year.

On today's post I would like to share with you some of my blogging goals as I believe that when setting out clear goals the outcomes will also be clear.

So here is the thing I have been slacking and I apologize, being a new mom has
hit me by surprise as the little time I had for blogging and doing YouTube now goes to my baby. I will go into being a working/playing/blogging Mom in tomorrow’s post
today we just sharing goals:

BLOG
- Would like to blog consistently with post that are more in-depth and more educational

- Have a reasonable post schedule (That being said I would like to continue to blog Monday till Friday)

- Reach 1 000 000 page views (With me blogging more I think this is possible, that would equals to +/- 3000 pageviews a day my current being +/-5 00 pageviews #wishmeluck)

- Include work from other bloggers (Written in-depth pieces not just random
 meaningless blogposts).

- Have Fun (Enjoy writing again), in a world of is my feed better than yours, like this picture and not this, follow me and not her, I’m better than her why was she chosen for this campaign. I would like to bring you back to the simple things of life.

YOUTUBE
-         Would like to Post More Consistently (Monday, Wednesday and Fridays) would work best for me. (I also hate it when my favorite vlogger only posts at random).

-          5 000 subbies please (“,), with being consistent I think this would be possible.

-         Create content that is more fun, educational and gets you thinking.

-         Enjoy doing it, for me Blogging and YouTubing has been a space where I can go to escape from my reality and would like to keep it that way.

Hope January was good but let’s start working.

See you soon.
