Hello April | Preview & CatchUp

Sorry I have been MIA my 9-5 has me good, and I just wonder how will I survive my week.
I have so many great ideas planned for April I wonder if I will be able to execute them the way I want.

I decided to change the blog template again lol, but I think it is better now especially for mobile use
as the previous one was rather plain, this one is still plain however its plain in a good way I think.
And I also told myself that is it for updating templates for 2017 I will update it in 2018 and also maybe move to wordpress as it is better, Blogger is messing things up now but they have added new templates as the old ones I think they were from 2009.
I feel like Blogger is Googles last priority when it comes to blogger apps, and they need to change that asap and who ever is doing the changes currently on blogger is messing things up if I haven't mentioned that yet.

As for YouTube it is still fun, I'm enjoying doing it however I could be better, a little by little I will get there, I saw that I reached 100 subscribers (which I will forever be grateful) there is a giveaway on the works. I do have items that I have been saving up for giveaways I just wonder if you will like them, they are nothing extravagant just bits and pieces of items that I love and been using.

Wuuu as for my weightloss journey kwaaa that is a story for another day, okay maybe now. My car broke down late January like two days before my birthday and even though I had a great birthday it could have been better, I have been half commuting getting rides from bae and using taxis (South African taxis), this whole thing has been stressing me up, although the gym that I go to is based
in Soweto taking the car is always better than a taxi, and another thing is when I stress I eat. So good news the car has been fixed and I will be able to do the most again.

I have been enjoying blogging daily and putting posts up, I won't lie adding YouTube to my basket has been a bit of a stress, please pray for me that I get used to it as I enjoy it.

Wow this will be a long read LOL, if you made it till the end "YOU ARE THE BEST"

Hope April brings us nothing but LOVE.

xx

Essence Cosmetics | Cover Stick Review, Swatch & Try On

Happy Tuesday! I think that this is now turning into concealer week as this is my second post this week reviewing a concealer and tomorrow I have another one.  Today I bring you the Essence Coverstick concealer, let us see what it has in store for us.
I will begin with the packaging it comes in a shallow card box case, which has a cream colour and it twists up just like a lipstick. It is really light weight, but don’t tempt fate by dropping it. The Essence Coverstick Concealer is really thick (please hear me on this one) When you do a swatch on the skin without any primer then it won’t glide well, but on the picture below I have on a primer and ooh boy where has this concealer been all my life.  The application is easy because the concealer is on a stick. I prefer using a beauty blender with the concealer for blending process to be easy.

The Essence Coverstick Concealer gives you a good medium coverage if you have dark circles like me. The concealer doesn’t crease because it has a matte finish which I love. The concealer lasts for a good 5 – 6 hours, make sure you use a primer that is oil based if you have dry skin like me, and if you have oily skin it should be fine.
Shop : HERE
Price: 5/5
R43.00 who would dispute that?

Packaging: 3/5
The lipstick form is great but the concealer is thicker than your normal lipstick so the twisting component might break before you finish your concealer

Repurchase: Yes
Overall: 4/5

You are invited - Red My Lips 2015

Hi guys. A friend of mine sent me an invite to this Campaign via Facebook and I'm paying it forward and inviting everyone.

WHO ARE THEY?

Red My Lips is an international nonprofit organization that uses red lipstick as a weapon and a tool to raise awareness about sexual violence, combat rape myths and victim-blaming, and demonstrate solidarity and support for ALL survivors.
Supporters, which we call 'Warriors,' wear red lipstick all throughout April (Sexual Assault Awareness Month) to raise awareness and funds. This is not about VANITY. It's about VISIBILITY. (Kind of like Movember...minus the brilliantly creepy 'staches.) Spread the word that RAPISTS are responsible for RAPE...not drinking, short skirts, or makeup.

Sexual violence is NOT a WOMEN'S ISSUE. It is a HUMAN ISSUE. It affects us ALL.

DON'T WEAR RED LIPSTICK?

You can still participate!

Since our symbol is red lips, we encourage supporters to incorporate red lips is some (visible) way. Here are some of our favorite alternatives:
  •  Ask a loved one to give you a red lipstick kiss and leave it on your face each day. (Ask ONE time and respect their answer. This is a great opportunity to practice consent!)
  • Wear a RML temporary tattoo (if you have one)
  • Paint one nail red or (better yet!) paint red lips on your nails!
  • Wear clothes or accessories that have red lips or lip prints on them.
  • Print a large picture of red lips and put it on the back window of your car with the words "Red My Lips" and the website.
  • Wear red lipstick for a photo and set it as your profile pic, making sure to link to the cause.
  • Leave a lipstick print on your dog and take them for a walk. :)

To learn more about our organization and get involved, please check out our website: www.redmylips.org and follow our main page, by clicking 'Like' here --> Red My Lips. You can also find us on Instagram and Twitter @redmylipsorg. And don't forget to tag us in your RML pics and use the hashtag: #redmylips!
