CAPE ISLAND LUXURY CANDLES |
November was a really slow month content wise for me, but I guess
that I'm saving all of my energy for Blogmas (blogging daily for 25 days).
Manage to attend two events (A live show at the Lyric Theatre and Making my own
Gin with premium gin maker Inverroche) which were both great experiences and
would like to thank the organizers for the invites.
Content wise I slacked in November but hey I'm not mad
when the motivation is not there it is not there.
See some posts that I cooked up below:

See you tomorrow on BLOGMAS DAY 1

Statement from Corna Sotra Founders:
(This statement was made during Winter 2020)
Life has never been easy for us as a black community that we know and experience on a daily, however, we as Corna Sotra LifeStyle prefer being solution based.
We believe that some if not all of the issues we face in our community can be easily tackled when we work in a unitary manner.
The topic on electricity for one. We complain to the service provider (Eskom) for giving us a bad service and all. In this time and age are we really fixing our eyes on one
electricity service provider to keep our lights on?
With all the great minds we meet at the Corna we know that our brothers and sister are qualified and highly recommended to tackle such situations. The Towers in Orlando is a given for us. Since we can't meet at the Corna for now, let's meet on social platforms and provide solutions

A GREAT RETURN TO LIVE SHOWS | RHYTHMS THE GUMBOOTS SHOW 2020
Soweto, South Africa
Last night I was invited to the media and opening night for the
Rhythms The Gumboots Show.
On Tuesday I released an article on what to anticipate from the show
but since I went there yesterday I can tell you that it is what I wrote and more.
The set, the shows storytelling and the movement of the Gumboots dancers was out of this world.
When I told my friends that we are going to see a Gumboots Show on Thursday night
they were a bit skeptical but after the show they were like
'yep the shows production level, energy from the dancers was close to perfection'.
The world is not back to where it was January 2020 however places
are opening up and I'm glad that the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City is now open.
WHAT THE SHOW IS ALL ABOUT
Back in 1871, miners came up with their own language.
It was the language of the gumboots and it is brought back to life in this physical performance,
a historical tale featuring authentic traditional South African dancing and singing.
Rhythms - The Gumboot Show will be live on stage at
5pm and 8pm on Friday, 13 November
and 2pm and 8pm on Saturday, 14 November.
Bookings via Computicket
tickets from R150pp.
See you there!

OPENING PR FROM INGRAMS | NEW SENSITIVE, ROOIBOS AND HEMP RANGE
Soweto, South Africa
Hope your day is going well. The word is out Ingrams has a new range in town,
todays post is all about unboxing their pr drop and also sharing some
of the product claims with you.
What is Ingrams saying about the product?
Not everyone’s skin is the same, the one-size-fits-all solution is a thing of the past. Whether your
skin is dry, normal or sensitive, everyone needs skincare products suited to the skin they’re in. That’s
where Ingram’s comes in. They have extended their range of functional creams and lotions to
include three new innovative, practical, affordable and on-trend variants – Sensitive, Hemp and
Rooibos.
The functions:
Ingram’s Sensitive cream and lotion:
:are enriched with moisturising glycerine and cetomacrogol.
Sensitive skin is more common than most people think, in fact over 40% of the world’s population
report that they have sensitive skin. Sensitive skin is prone to itching and irritation and needs gentle
care. People with sensitive skin, may have strong reactions to chemicals, dyes and fragrances
present in products that come into contact with the skin. Ingram’s Sensitive cream and lotion are
fragrance- and colourant-free, while soothing and offering immediate relief and moisturisation to
irritated, sensitive skin. The cream and lotion are non-greasy, fast absorbing and leaves skin calmed
and moisturised for 48 hours.
Ingram’s Hemp Oil cream and lotion:
have intensively nourishing formulations, enriched with a
blend of omega 3 and 6 and organic hemp seed oil, which is extracted from organic hemp seeds
through cold pressing and filtration. This unique formulation nourishes, soothes and repairs dry to
very dry skin while instantly moisturising it. The cream and lotion are non-greasy, fast absorbing and
leaves skin deeply moisturised for 72 hours.
Ingram’s Rooibos cream and lotion:
have rich, restoring formulations, enriched with a special blend
of locally sourced rooibos extract, antioxidants and vitamin E. Rooibos contains unique antioxidants,
enzymes and compounds that improve elasticity and help skin look youthful and radiant. The fast
absorbing, non-greasy cream is formulated to deliver 72-hour moisturisation while the fast
absorbing, non-greasy lotion provides 48-hour moisturisation.
Ingram’s brand manager, Venus-Gene Jackson says "Ingram’s aims to evolve with their customers and with the latesttrends. “We want to ensure that Ingram’s continues to bring all South Africans natural, nourishingskincare that is both affordable and innovative.”
The three new variants complement the existing
Camphor, Moisture Plus, Tissue Oil and Men’sranges.
Final words:
I've seen an american vlogger using a product similar to the Ingrams Hemp lotion,
but it was ridiculously expensive
and let's not get started with the shipping headache. The Ingram’s Hemp Lotion is one
that I'm gravitating towards because it smells great, feels good to the skin and it is cost friendly
my baby will then use the Sensitive Lotion because of it's fragrance free benefit
and the Rooibos Cream will be for the family (p.s.we are big on rooibos).
I will continue using the products and will share with you my
final thoughts on a Favs & Not post coming soon.

(*thank you IngramsSA for sending me the products)
Mascara's are my most bought and least used make-up item,
I have short non-existing lashes and in addition to that I have really sensitive, watery eyes
most low end mascara's on the market don't cater to my needs except for a few
the Essence princess lash does a great job and most Almay mascara's
because of their hypo-allergenic factor.
So de-cluttering this drawer wasn't that much of a problem.
The few that are left, are as follows:
Almay One Coat Thick Mascara 11.8ml Black Brown - R 179

Essence Volume Stylist 18H Lash Extension Mascara - Black - R 65

#Projectpan still going strong and I'm de-cluttering
getting rid of all the bad energy from 2020
I hope these posts motivate you to take a real good look at your make-up stash

oldies in there.

YOU'RE INVITED! Gold Reef City Re-opens Lyric Theatre with 'Rhythms - The Gumboots Show'
Soweto, South Africa
The Lyric Theatre’s stage is alive at Jozi’s Coolest Entertainment Spot once again!
Rhythms – The Gumboots Show will be live at Gold Reef City for just four shows on
Friday, 13 November and Saturday 14 November!
FIRST TIME SEEING 'Rhythms - The Gumboots Show'
Back in 1871, miners came up with their own language.
It was the language of the gumboots and it is brought back to life in this physical performance,
a historical tale featuring authentic traditional South African dancing and singing.
Performers use their black boots, pounding the ground and their hands beating, tapping,
ringing and vibrating the gum of the boots as their principal instruments.
All backed up by the rhythms of guitars, piano, percussion, marimba and drums in English,
Zulu and Xhosa songs. Fierce dances, the art of rhythm and captivating songs will make resisting
the urge to get up, sing and dance along with 15 performers impossible to resist!
Together with choreographer Mduduzi Magagula and musical director Vincent Ncabashe,
director Magda Hadnagy will bring this important chapter in South African history
back to life after 15 years. The show tells the story of miners,
their hardships to provide for their families, as they leave Zululand to work on the mines.
“I wanted to create this show because I am committed to sharing this important part of South Africa
realistically but memorably. The beginning of the show relays the history and then later
on in the show we get to the early 1930s and go into gumboot songs.
It is really about the South African miners' history,” said Hadnagy.
Feron Somiah, Gold Reef City’s Marketing Manager is delighted to see
The Lyric Theatre’s stage lights re-ignited once again with all COVID-19
protocols in place: “To re-open The Lyric Theatre with such an energetic show
which echoes the resilience and passion of South Africans, is pure joy for our team and
highlights the outstanding offerings we continue to provide at Gold Reef City.
WHAT"s NEXT FOR GOLD REEF CITY
We are excited that our movies@ complex will also be re-opening on 27 November
and our Theme Park will re-open on 3 December.
Whilst our booking processes may be slightly different due to COVID-19 restrictions,
Gold Reef City will continue to provide our guests with the most thrilling entertainment
experience possible while observing strict hygiene protocols.
Rhythms - The Gumboot Show will be live on stage at 5pm and 8pm on Friday, 13 November
and 2pm and 8pm on Saturday, 14 November.
Bookings via Computicket
tickets from R150pp.

With everything that's been happening around the world
I just wanted to bring some light to your feed.
I just wanted to bring some light to your feed.
I know for sure that without faith, I am lost.
Here are a few quotes that keep me going when the going gets tough.
1. “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
― C.S. Lewis
2. “Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
3.“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
― Anonymous, Holy Bible: King James Version
4. “God will not look you over for medals, degrees or diplomas but for scars.”
― Elbert Hubbard
5. “Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
― Corrie ten Boom
6.“The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.”
― Soren Kierkegaard
7. “Keep Going
Your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep going. Tough situations build strong people in the end.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
8. “Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right.”
― Max Lucado, He Still Moves Stones: Everyone Needs a Miracle
9. “Be Brave and Take Risks: You need to have faith in yourself. Be brave and take risks. You don't have to have it all figured out to move forward.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
10. “A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it's the most painful thing you'll ever have to do and that you've ever done. But what's yours is yours. Whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. And one day, it'll fall from the sky and hit you in the head real hard and that time, you won't have to put it back in the sky again.”
― C. JoyBell C.
Remember what's meant to be will always find a way.
See you soon.

Announcement | It's not about where you live, its about how you live
Soweto, South Africa
I've been having this thought for a while in my head
and that it is just time to take a dive and make the blog have it's
own page name and everything like that.
@zanelemondi has been great but I feel like @aroundsowetoblog
will make more sense.
I have been doing this blogging thing for a while now
and I know that if I want to take things to the next step I will need to share
a part of my life in this beautiful world called social media
and after going back and forth I decided that I will not be doing that but take
the next best step and make In Out & Around Soweto grow into something more.
As @zanelemondi I feel like the blog is okay but as In Out & Around Soweto the she is ready
to blossom and take on her own life.
I love everything about the township life (positive things only though)
(Soweto, Thokoza, Gugulethu, Umlazi, etc)
but I often feel like the images portrayed in our news are often times unfair and don't
cover even 10% of what the township life is about, don't even get me started with some of the
briefs I would sometimes get from brands #hahaha
The process will be gradual but I do believe that when you see it
you will get it.
See at work.

I know it's kinda late to be sharing November goals right now
but it's better late than never.
So here we go again...
1. Continue being consistent with my posting on here.
I would love to continue daily blogging like in October.
2. Upload 3 video's weekly on YouTube I would like to reach 1 500 subbies
by the end of this year (A girl can dream right?!)
4. Get to 905 000 page views this month, upload frequently on Instagram and
try engaging more on Twitter.
5. Start being active and enjoy life more. (LIVE in the moment)
6. Wash My Natural Hair Weekly than bi-weekly
( a youtuber I follow claims to be her trick for her hair growth).
Yeap these are the goals for November nothing hectic, just me trying to
make this hustle continue because it's just a great outlet for my stress and anxiety.
(I know right, I've been doing this for a while but kinda enjoy creating the content
nothing much, everyone's journey is different and
that is the fun part of life).
See you soon.
