Lancome #LoveYourAge - Let My Journey Begin (UPDATED)
The Lancome
Genifique (30ml R790) has to be one of the most expensive products on the blog
so far and I’m honored to be testing it out for you. Lancome claims the following about their product
“A powerful youth activating serum that reveals youthful radiance and smoother
skin in just 7 days.Drop by drop, this potent serum boosts youthful radiance,
restoring smoother, more radiant skin you can see and feel in just 7 days”.
This is how it will go, each week (Wednesdays I will be sharing my before and after photos for us to see how the product has
done on my skin. You can also follow this link to check out the progress of
other bloggers - Here - #LoveYourAge
I hope that
you do enjoy my journey with the Lancome Genifique.
Till next
time
Xx
Zanele
UPDATE:
One of the best serums out there, the only thing that bothers me with it is that
it is on the more "watery side" like there is no oil
in it and if you have dry skin like me you will need to
add a generous amount.

Vaseline Intensive Care | Camphor Restore Review
Ooh that camphor smell takes me way back, winter without it is a huge NO NO (Memories I tell you!!!)Today I’m checking out the New Vaseline Intensive Care | Camphor Restore the 350ml tub retails for R42.95 and the 500ml tub retails for R53.95 at Clicks – SHOP HERE
Vaseline claims the following about the product “Intensive Care Camphor Restore Cream restores and soothes dry skin with its special formula containing micro-droplets of Vaseline Blueseal. It moisturises and softens rough skin, especially hard working parts like your elbows, hands, knees and feet”.
The New Vaseline Intensive Care | Camphor Restore comes in a green tub that twists open and is clearly visible when searching for it in the skincare aisle.
The formular has a creamy consistency that absorbs well in the skin when applying. Since the formula contains micro-droplets of Vaseline Blueseal you don’t need to apply Vaseline with the body cream. (I just had a throwback memory of mixing my camphor cream with glycerine aaah, how times have changed…lol).
If you are looking for a product that will work on those
hard working parts such your elbows , hands, knees and most definitely feet
this winter this product is for you.

New Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor Review & Lip Swatches Video
Today I have a good one for you; one of my favourite brands recently launched their Liquid Matte Lip colours. What I did is I bought 4 out of the 8 available lipcolors just for us to test out and see if we should buy the rest of the shades or not (not sure if they only launched 8 shades for SA because on the Revlon.com site the shade range is 16 will have to check on that one),
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipcolor retails for R155 at Edgars but I bought mine at their 20% off sale which was about R124 each or better yet wait for Clicks to have one of their 3 for 2 specials because I know a lot of people got theirs there. I must say for R155 it’s a bit expensive for me but I had to buy them for the blog, (*random thought* the whole rage will cost us around R1240).
To be honest the first matte lipstick which I had to try probably placed me off matte lipsticks (will probably do a review on that horror, my lips felt like a 90 years old), but since Revlon claims that their matte lipcolors are lightweight, high definition velvety matte color with a moisturizing, velvety feel, 100% wax-free, gel formula and available in *16 high definition shades. Let us see how it does!!!
First let’s talk about their fabulous packaging. They come in tube-like containers with a matte like finish and with a silver top. The applicator has a tapered end which allows for great application even without a lip-pencil.
The formular has that gel like consistency which helps make the lipcolor to not crack on the lips during application and drying out process. The lipcolor gives your lips that matte feeling without living your lips dry. On application what I have learned is first use the tapered end as a lipliner then apply the lipcolor as normal.
Did I tell you that the lip colours smell like Ice cream, gosh I LOVE THAT.
Tip: If you are like me have naturally dry lips, you will need to moisturise first before applying any matte lipcolor. .
I have done a quick swatch video for my YouTube channel, please don’t mind the lighting Winter has got me good will be fixing it on more videos to come.

Steps for Taking Care of Your Nails this Winter
1. Keep your nails moisturized.
Hand moisturizes usually don't last long in winter and the best way I keep my nails moisturized is I use Vaseline; it is cost effective and gets the job done really quick. (On Wednesday I will be sharing other ways one can use Vaseline).
2. Style with care.
This year I tried keeping my nails long but last week they gave in (because Winter), and they began cracking and all. It is okay when they do that because it is winter and nails do that. My best tip is to keep them short.
3. Avoid harsh chemicals.
I try to stay always from nail polishes in winter and only apply one in weekends, as the acetone used when removing the nail polish can thin out ones nails, better yet use a nail polish remover without acetone.

Let's Catch Up
Hey guys happy Friday, Winter has got me good with the cold and the non-ending flu.
So I have been struggling with being creative lately and no matter what I do or buy nothing seems to help. I have created two Youtube Video's but there is that something missing. I hope that I do get back to the swing of things or else something has got to give.
Happy Friday, take things easy, drink alot of soup and keep warm.

Essence | New In Winter 2016
Essence recently brought out shade ranges for darker
skin tones, which I’m excited about and I must say it is about time. I have done a
Winter Wishlist to inspire you on items that have been recently released and
are available at a store near you (which is mostly Dischem and Clicks).
I have to admit I do own most of the products and will be
reviewing/demonstrating them on blog posts to come, but the two products that
are hard to find around my area “Soweto” are the Make-up Fixing Spray and the Eyebrow gel I guess I will have to go to the north this weekend for them.
Which new products would you like to see on the blog or have
been loving lately?
