Charlie Revlon | Chikita Hot Review and Try On
Today the lip
of the day is the Charlie Revlon Chikita Hot Lipgloss which I bought for R49.99
in November when it came out. I don’t usually wear bright colours but this one
caught my eye.
The container
is pretty simple and transparent which I like because it makes it pretty simple
for me to see the lip colour. The lipgloss is a superhot pink (I guess that is
where they go the Chikita Hot from).
The lipgloss
only needs one application but I does feel a bit heavy on the lips. The
lipgloss does last for about 4-5 hours depending on what you are doing, and sorry but it does transfer a lot when you
are eating food and drinking water.
Overall I’m
impressed of the price and the longevity of it.

Essence Cosmetics | Silky Touch Blush Review
Hello everybody! Today I have my blogs first ever blush review from *Essence
Cosmetics. Essence is such a budget friendly brand and their products are
great. Personally I don’t really do blushes but I had to give this one a try,
let us see how it does.
Essence claims that (you can set gorgeous, natural-looking highlights in
soft as well as brighter shades on your cheeks with this silky-soft blush).
This part just means you can use the blush as a highlighter because it comes in
different shades as well. The blush comes in a medium sized, transparent, round container.
The transparency of the container makes it easy for one to see the colour, even
without opening the cap too. Just be careful not to drop it.
The Silky
Touch Blush which retails for R49.99 is really
very silky, soft and smooth to touch. The texture feels very smooth and soft. The
blush blends very easily one swipe of the blush is enough, but it is buildable
be warned don’t go overboard.
This blush is just perfect for
beginners like me, I’m sold. The blush gives me a wearing
time of 4-5 hours.

Saturday Chillin | Catching up, Wine & Gossip
Last week I went out with my BFF *do people still use that
work BFF lol* Lebo. We got together for a lunch session like we used to do back
in the days, when we didn’t have a lot of responsibilities. We got to celebrate
my birthday, her birthday, new jobs, old jobs, new members of our families,
gossip about people we used to know still know may never know, overall I had
fun and yes it has been that long since we last saw each other.
The wine, food & company were great.
Friends come and go but the ones that stay and never leave,
those are the ones that turn into family. As we grow older, finding time to
chill with friends is golden so if you have a friend that you see on a daily
basis, get to catch up on watsapp and *facebook (debatable)* cherish it.
Anywoo enough with the snoggy snoggy business.
Till next time

BornPrettyStore | Simple Eyebrow Pencil Review & Tutorial
As promised part 2 of 3 is finally here of the BornPrettyStore products reviews; I always wanted to share a very simple way that I usually do
my eyebrows and that is why I selected the eyebrow pencil to be sent to me as
well (see my previous post HERE).
My eyebrows are naturally thin, and I have been filling them
using a black eyebrow pencil for a while now and I find that way quick and
simple. The eyebrow game has been on the trend now for the past three years or
more years as there are gels, dips, sticks, stencils the list is endless but I
have always preferred using eyebrow pencils.
The Eyebrow pencil from BornPrettyStore is pretty great
because it comes with a built in brush, so it has given me the ability to do my
brows pretty quickly. It is a pencil so you will need to follow up with a gel
so that it can last longer.

Review | Almay Truly Lasting Foundation
What would Fridays be without a #foundationfriday post and
to think that this is my first foundation review for the year it is truly
unfair to me and you. The weather in Johannesburg also known as Joburg is still
cloudy and drizzly. How is your Friday going?
Today I bring to you a foundation review that I wanted to do
for a while, but I had a love/hate relationship with the foundation because
some days it will apply good and others not so well; plus I like to really test
out products before reviewing them.
Let’s get down to business.
*Almay says that skincare meets makeup, oil-free formula
offers up to 16 hours of smudge-free, flawless coverage no matter what the
weather plus the foundation won’t clog pores.
My experience: I must say that I love bottles that have
pumps and that always play a huge role when it comes to my buying
decisions*true story*.
When I apply the foundation I make sure that I
use a foundation brush as it has a slight matte finish texture hence “oil-free
formula” plus when you have dry skin like me make sure that you moisturise
properly plus wear a primer that will not dry you out.
SHOP HERE : ZANDO.COM
The foundation applies smoothly, it is buildable you can
achieve a great medium coverage and a good full coverage. I found myself
reaching for it more this summer as my dry skin tends to be more forgiving
during these periods, and we will need to see how well it does in Winer.
P.S. My next post will be showing you how the foundation
looks like on my skin…
*The Almay foundation was kindly sent to me but the opinions
are my own.

BornPrettyStore | Matte Lip Lacquer
The weather in Johannesburg can be something at times, but I
guess it is official Autumn is here. In January the guys at BornPrettyStore contacted and offered me 3 items from their wide range of goodies that they
had on offer, I spent hours searching for products that would suite me and that
I will be able to demonstrate well, hence today I will be reviewing the 1st of 3 items.
Let us break it down.
The lip laquer on their site it is mentioned to have a matte finish, red and dries quickly.
What I experienced with is as follows: The colour is
beautiful it is has more of a deep coral finish *if there is such a colour*
than red like the site has mentioned none the less I love it. The lipgloss does
give a matte finish and does dry quickly as promised. Overall I’m impressed as
this is the first time I’m doing a review with an unknown brand in South
Africa.

Tips on wearing matte lipgloss.
- Prepare your lips (make sure that you don’t have any cracks okay)
- Add moisture (make sure that you apply your lip balm, NOT the glossy one)
- Start off by lining your lips (a lipliner will go a long way)
- No rubbing (DO NOT)
- Another coat (Only when the first coat has dried up)
- Precision tip (Always)
P.S. Part 2 and 3 coming soon!!!! Okay okay next week (Next Week)

Girly Things | Boy Trouble Quotes
This morning my friend had "guy problems" and I thought about a book and a movie I was into back in the days which seriously helped me with the issue *true story*, so if you are going through some "guy problems" I hope that the above quotes help you as much as the helped me *wink*.
